Honey
Honey is a sweet Viscous food substance made by Honey bees and some related insects. Bees produce Honey from the sugary secretions of plants or from secretions of other insects by enzymatic activity, regurgitation and water evaporation. Bees store honey in wax structures called honey combs. Honey gets it's sweetness from fructose and glucose and has about the same relative sweetness as sucrose (table sugar).

Interesting facts
Surprisingly, many of the conditions that honey is used to treat are far more serious than a simple sore throat!

1.Burns
Honey has been used as a salve to heal burns and prevent infection for thousands of years. Honey may reduce burn healing time.

2. Memory
Honey can improve both short - and long - term memory.

3. Diabetes
Honey has a lower glycemic index than sugar, which means it won't spike your blood sugar levels the ways sugar will. This makes honey a better option than sugar. Swapping Honley for pure sugar is an effective way to keep blood sugar levels steady.

4. Cancer
Honey is celebrated for its antioxidant properties, which causes many to wonder if it can help prevent or treat cancer. Honey is effective in stopping cancer cells from multiplying.

5. Wounds and ulcers
Honey can sterilize wounds and promote healing, and also reduce pain, odor and wound size.

Natural, properly preserved honey will not expire. Because of the sugar content and low pH of honey as well as bees' honey making process, organisms that can spoil food won't survive in honey but honey has to be natural and sealed properly to enjoy its long lifespan.

Initially, it was spotted growing at the wild forests of Ngoya in Zululand, in South Africa in 1895. It was conserved and now this plant is restricted to the botanical garden only where it was transported from Zululand and planted on the soil bed of the calibrated Temperate House together with other South African plants. It is a cycad variety and has separate male and female plants. Unfortunately, no female plants were found ever since, which indicates that the propagation will be extremely limitedd The male cones are orange yellow in color.

. Honey is a sweet, viscous food substance made by honey bees and some related insects. Bees produce honey from the sugary secretions of plants (floral nectar) or from secretions of other insects (such as honeydew), by regurgitation, enzymatic activity, and water evaporation. Honey is a pretty amazing substance and there is a lot more to it than just a sweet tasting treat. Honey plays a crucial role in the life of a honey bee and can also be very beneficial to the human body.
Honey is 80% sugars and 20% water. To make one pound of honey, the bees in the colony must visit 2 million flowers, fly over 55,000 miles and will be the lifetime work of approximately 768 bees. A single honeybee will only produce approximately 1/12 teaspoon of honey in her lifetime.
