"Perfect? Did I really say that tiny monster was perfect? I take it back. Profound was right about babies: They cry, they yell, they scream, they shriek, they squeal. And even if they may have a hearing problem, that doesn't make them any less loud."

This quote is very important to the story line because Jilly P. had been waiting for a long time for a baby sibling. Once she finally got one, the baby was not as perfect as she thought. Page 34

"Profound seems fine after that, but I still feel kind of bad. I didn't realize it was rude to tell him that Emma is Deaf. And I'm still not sure I understand why. I mean, if someone in Yound Vidalians had a baby sister named Jillian or something, I'd think it was cool."

This quote is important to the story line because Jilly's best friend, Profound, is deaf. When Jilly finds out that her little sister, Emma, is also deaf, the first thing Jilly wants to do is tell Profound. Profound gets upset because he wants to be known as a normal kid, not a deaf kid. this is very important because this causes conflict between Jilly and Profound. Will they stay best friends? Will Profound always be known as just a "deaf kid" or will he be more than that? Page 43

I give this book four stars. I give it four stars because it was a captivating book and it made me want to read more. There were some cliffhangers that made it very interesting. I did not like how some of the book was on a group chat where they were texting each other. It did not make the book very interesting and it got confusing when there profile names were different then there character names.

The author believes that when you find the best in the bad it can turn into a blessing you could not see before.

This is shown in the book when Jilly's parents have Emma. They were expecting a perfectly normal baby with nothing wrong with her. When Jilly's parents have the baby, they later find out she is deaf. In the beginning of the book they thought this was a bad thing and nothing good could come out of there newborn child being deaf. Jilly's mom struggles with finding the good in difficult things. As the book goes on, her mom had to stop and think about what was good about the negitive things going on in her life. Once she saw that her baby, that may be different, was still a blessing to her family, it changed her whole point of view. It made her look at the baby in a way she had never before.

This picture relates to the story because Jilly's aunt is black and she was not treated fairly. She wants everyone to be united and really shows Jilly how to be a good example to Emma. Jilly's aunt is really important to the story because she is watching Emma for a lot of the book and is the one taking care of her often times. She is always there for Jilly and Emma and wants them to treat everyone with respect no matter the skin color.

This picture relates to the story because Jilly and Profound have always been close friends but, when Jilly starts to like him more than a friend, he gets confused and does not want to be as close of friends anymore. This is important to the story because, Profound is one of the only friends Jilly has (besides Macie) so, Jilly changes a lot in the story because she wants Profound to like her. This effects her in her everyday life and makes her a different person to try to fit in.

Dear Author,

I thought this was a very inspiring book! This really showed me how I should treat others and how I need to look at the good in people but not be fast to judge. You are a talented author and you do a great job showing us how the bad may be a blessing down the road. What made you think about writing about someone who can not hear? I think one thing you could of done better was giving more detail on somethings instead of skimming over it. Overall I think this is an excellent book!
