Post By Oscar:

You will have a great experience if you visit San Carlos, in the northwestern state of Sonora in Mexico. If you enjoy the adventure and the beach, you are in the right place, because this amazing town has wonderful landmarks and beautiful beaches. By the way, San Carlos won last year the title of “the most beautiful sea landmark in the world” by National Geographic Review. There are many places to visit. If you like water sports, you can practice water ski, diving and sport fishing, also, if you are a nature’s lover, you can visit the Macapule Canyon, it’s a desert oasis in the middle of the mountains near the town or you can sail in a luxury yacht to the Island of St Pedro Nolasco, there is a sanctuary of sea-lions with thousands of them living there and, if you are brave, you can swim with them.

Warsaw is a city with a long history, it`s the capital and the largest city in Poland.
When you visit Warsaw in summer, you should have a great time. You can expect warm or hot weather but it might be cloudy and rain on some days. Make sure you pack some sweater, maybe even a light coat because in the evenings temperature drops down to 54F.
On sunny, hot days you should go to the beach by Vistula river. There is a volleyball field, barbecue spots, dock chairs and ball rental shops. Perfect place for a hot summer day in the middle of the city.
If you like sailing, you should take a train to Lake Zegrze. It`s a 40 min ride from downtown. You can charter sailboats, kayaks, motor boats or just stay on a beach and enjoy the view.
In downtown Warsaw I recommend taking a walk through Old Town. Historical part of the city, that was established in the XIII century. You will see there beautiful Royal Castle, charming little streets with colorful buildings, famous restaurants, galleries, and small souvenir stores.
If you like shopping for clothes or household goods, I recommend going to Arkadia or Zlote Tarasy shopping center. Both places are well known, can be easily accessed by bus, train, tramway or subway and offer popular european and international brands.
Visiting Warsaw you need to try famous pierogis, cold cuts, fruits and veggies like tomatoes and strawberries which taste different than in NY.

Visiting Poços de Caldas - MG, Brazil

Poços de Caldas is a beautiful city in Brazil. There are many things to do if you visit this city. If you like delicious food, you can go to the ‘Recanto da Tilápia’, ‘Cantina do Araújo’ or ‘Pizza da Roça’ restaurants. These restaurants are a little bit expensive, but you won’t regret it.

The transportation there isn’t good. If you take a popular bus for the first time, you probably will be nervous, because there are many people there and most of time you must stand on the bus. As Poços de Caldas is a relatively small city compared to the big cities, there is no train transport and much less subway. If you don’t have your own car, the only alternative is take a bus or take a taxi, however, taking a taxi is very expensive.

If you want to go shopping and don’t want to waste time, go to the mall. There are varieties of prices, clothes for all types of tastes and many stores for you to enjoy. At least, you can shop while you have a coffee in the food court.

The city has a tropical climate, I particularly like the climate there. If it's raining, the best thing to do is stay home, watching a movie and eating popcorn. But if it’s sunny or even a mild, there are many attractions that you can visit.

A very beautiful place both day and night, it’s the `Cristo Redentor` of the City, not as tall as the Christ of Rio de Janeiro, but you can appreciate the view of Poços de Caldas from all angles. Many people arrive there by car, or those who are more adventurous, do climbing alone or in groups.

Near `Cristo Redentor`, there is also a well-known place, called ‘Pedra Balão’. It is a huge stone in which you can climb and enjoy the view. If you are brave, you have the paraglider ramp, which costs you about $ 100.00 for an instructor to make a 20 minute flight. It’s expensive, but well worth it.

If you want to take a family outing, take a walk or a picnic, go to the Municipal Park, it's a miniature of NYC's Central Park, but it's good to spend time there.

Poços de Caldas is known as the City of Waters. This name given by its numerous sources of natural water and sulfurous waters. If you like to have fun with peace, go to Poços de Caldas. You will Love it.

If you have the opportunity, visit Managua, you should go to “Puerto Salvador Allende”, located in the coast of the “Xolotlan Lake” or “Managua Lake”, that´s a little bit taste of the city. Inside you could to eat a very good seafood or a typical meal of my country or Central America countries like nacatamales and pupusas, to taste our gourmet coffee, to enjoy live music, to buy crafts, to know Nicaraguan people (with origin multiracial) and tourists of Europe and of other countries of Central America. And if you have children with you, they may play in Chorus of Angels Park inside the port. You could take a very cheapest and short tour around on the lake.

But, if you want to know more about our history and watch the stars, you should go Tiscapa Knoll National History Park. This knoll of volcanic origin have a lagoon inside and pyramided area. The famous General Sandino was killed in this place and currently you can still see vestiges of a notorious prison called Las Masmorras with torture cells.
Visiting Torreón.

Can you imagine a place where its people give away food? This is one of the many things to experience if you are visiting Torreón.
Torreón is a city where you can experience shopping, unique traditions, delicious food and outdoor activities.

First at all, Torreón is located in a desertic zone, so the weather during the day is mostly hot, If you are going during spring or fall you should carry a light jacket for the nights, if you are going in winter, you definitely will need warmer clothes. Don't worry if you forget to pack them because you can go shopping at the malls (we have two) or the flea markets, we call them “Fayucas” and it is a great experience.

If you know how to look in all that stuff you may find very good quality, or even brand name clothes in perfect conditions at very, very cheap prices. In this places, you can find second-hand stuff too.

Fayucas are also a great place to eat. When you are in “La Laguna” (another way to call that region” you could eat “Gorditas”, a typical dish made with a dough based on flour or corn flour and stuffed with different dishes.

If you are going to visit us in October, March or December, then you are on time to know one of ours best traditions, “La Reliquia”.

“Reliquia” is a dish made of a combination of different kinds of pasta and “Asado rojo” (a mix of pork meat, potatoes and “chile colorado” (a kind of red pepper)), the most important of this tradition is that this dish is free, you just need to know where to find it and that is not difficult.

Torreón is a Catholic town (well, the most of it is population) and it is common to pray and ask for favors to the Saints. When you ask for something from them it is common to offer something in return and the most popular way of showing thanks for the miracle is “Reliquia”.

So, if you ask for a miracle, for example, to Saint Judas, Saint Joseph or Our Lady of Guadalupe (it could be to any saint, but this are the most requested) and they make it true, then you prepare “Reliquia” to give away to all the people that you can, no matter who are they, no matter if you don't like them or if they are strangers.

Finally, this is a city with very nice, family friendly, parks too. The most important are “El Bosque” (forest), “La Alameda”, “Plaza de Armas” and “El Bosque Urbano” (urban forest), these places are very nice to have a picnic, walk around and have fun in their rides.

In conclusion, Torreón is a place with many things to do and with nice costumes that can make anyone love it.

We were very excited to see all the differences between our country and how Americans see us, even if we didn't know what to expect.

At first when we arrived in Soho we wanted to experience how the American culture has influenced the Italian lifestyle. While we were walking down the streets, we felt like it didn't represent what Italy really is.

We were surrounded by people who had Italian origins, who talked in Italian and who had Italian restaurants, but they weren't Italian. The only thing they did that was similar to Italian people was trying to selling us food, but with an higher price than it is sold in Italy, to gain money from the tourists who think that their food is 100% Italian.

In the streets there were a lot of souvenirs shops with Arab owners that sold plaques with "Mafia" written on it, one of us asked why there was written on it and they replied that they didn't know.

As Italians we do not recommend Little Italy, because it's not 100% the real Italian experience; but if you want to have a little taste of what Italian food looks like this is the place you're looking for.
Gabriele
Bonny
Flavia
Nicola

A little taste of Little Italy

We really recommend to visit this neighborhood if you want a little taste of Italy. You' ll be overwhelmed by flavours, colours and smells !
If you need to buy some souvenirs, there are several shops where you can buy them.

There are also lots of restaurants, like ''Sorbillo'', a famous and delicious diner, in which some of us ate a pizza as tasty as the real napolitan one (but more expensive). A hilarious thing happened: the owner asked us for a tip, but when we said we were from Italy he didn't charge us, because he knew in our country is not compulsory.

We were a little bit disappointed because we were looking for "granita" which is a typical Italian beverage but none of the ice cream parlors had it. Besides, the waiter of one of them told us to not waste our time because none of the employees was Italian so that made us a little bit sad because we took for granted that they were Italian.

Another disappointing thing was seeing the Sicilian dessert, the cannoli: they were too thin and they looked squishy, so completely different from the real ones, that are crunchy and full of cream. Apart from this, all the restaurant owners were really nice and friendly, and some of them were also from Italy, so it was enjoyable chatting with them.

To sum up, little Italy is an important part of the cosmpolitan life in New York and it is fascinating for every nationality but if you're Italian you'll notice every little flaw!! We totally recommend you to visit it🇺🇸🇮🇹
Mariannax2, Giulia, Claudia, Anna

The amazing sight of New York's skyline from the ferry to Staten Island

New York is a city where you can feel unique and contrasting emotions. When you are visiting it be sure not to miss the beautiful ferry trip to Staten Island.
Breathtaking, mesmerizing, fascinating and unbelievably stunning; those are all the feelings that we had during our ride on the ferry.
At first, while you are waiting in line to get on the ferry, you do not really realise what you are going to discover. Only once you start seeing the city getting smaller and smaller you will find out the greatness of the city. We strongly reccomend you have this experience, expecially at sunset: you will be immersed in a surreal atmosphere, almost like a dream. Time will stop and you will be enchanted by the sight of the statue of liberty and the skyline of New York at sunset. If you have enough time do not forget to take the ferry after the sunset, because you will see the beautiful city immersed in the night lights.

Manuela
Camilla
Ginevra
Riccardo
Marco
