         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Turali</strong> is a <em>traditional musical instrument</em> classified as an<strong> aerophone</strong> of the flute type. Also known as <strong>Turahi</strong> in the <strong><em>KadazanDusun</em></strong><em> ethnic’s dialect</em> in the <strong>Tambunan district</strong> and <strong>Tuahi</strong> in the <em>same ethnic’s dialect</em> in the <strong>Penampang district. </strong><br><br>Turali is made of a <em>segment of the sumbiling bamboo</em> with <em>a hole punched at one end and four more on its body.</em> The <strong>pogunian hole</strong> is for <em>blowing</em>, the <strong>pongirusan hole </strong>at the <em>back section</em> is <em>handled by the player’s thumb</em>, while the <em>mokorudu at the lower back</em> section is handled by the player’s other finger.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Also called the<strong> kendang, gandang or gondang</strong>. The gendang is a <strong>percussion drum </strong>instrument that is alike to a handheld drum. The skin of the drum can be made from the skin of <strong>buffalo, goat or cow</strong>. Gendang is available for <strong>all sizes</strong> and used by many races such as the <strong>Malay</strong> and <strong>Iban.</strong> The Gendang is generally used for <strong>martial arts performances and royal coronations</strong>.<br>A <strong>gendang</strong> is a two-headed drum used by people from the <strong>Indonesian Archipelago</strong>. The kendang is one of the <em>primary instruments</em> used in the <em>gamelan ensembles of Javanese, Sundanese, and Balinese music.</em> It is also used in various Kulintang ensembles in <strong>Indonesia, Brunei, Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines.</strong> It is <strong>related</strong> to the <em>Indian double-headed mridangam drum.</em></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Isun-isun</strong> is an arts of <em>quatrain reciting</em> accompanied by <em>violin playing</em>. Practiced by the<em> Iranun and Bajau ethnics</em> in <em>Kota Belud District</em>, this arts form is held <strong><em>in celebration events</em></strong> such as wedding, receiving a newly born infant, performing a solemn vow and the like.<br><strong><br>Isun-isun</strong> activity normally involves at least <em>one male quatrain</em> reciter while the opponent is at least <em>one female quatrain reciter.</em> <strong>Tok Isun-isun</strong> (the one who introduces a quatrain) sits down and plays his violin.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Sapeh also called <strong>Sape, Sampeh, Sapek</strong> is a Dayak string instrument played of <strong>Borneo-origin</strong>. The Sape in Kenyah dialect <strong>means scratching</strong>, as in how the players scratches the wood when playing. It is a wood made instrument with strings attached that works similarly to a <strong>guitar</strong>. It is a plucked string instrument used by the <strong>Ulu people</strong> (Kayan,Kenyah,Kelabit). It is a important instrument to the <strong>Dayak people</strong> and played in various festivals since the 13th Century.</div>]]></description>
