An active characteristic of learning that I experienced was when I was starting my new job at a Preschool and instead of having training I was put into a room and had to basically learn for myself what had to be done by observing the other teacher in that preschool classroom. 
2.   Another example I have experienced is within my classroom at the Preschool. We have a ton of manipulative toys such as, puzzles, blocks, suction cups and so on. An example of when I had this learning characteristic in one of my classes was when I had to  research about Dyslexia and write a research paper on what I had learned and reflect on what Dyslexia was and how it effects those who have this type of disability. 
2. When I was still at Southwest I was going to go into the PTA program and for me to apply I had to have a certain number of  service hours. I preformed these service hours at an outpatient facility for Physical therapy and some of my hours at an assisted living facility. Today in my Physical education class fro teachers, we had a zoom meeting for our class and during that zoom meeting my professor asked everyone to think about if we PE should be kept in schools. So we did and at the end of our class we all had a collaboration about what we thought the most important aspect on my PE should be kept in schools educational curriculum.
2. My second experience with a cooperative learning characteristic is from when I was a junior in High school. I had to take an english class and in that class we read "The Great Gatsby". We had to read pages at home for homework every night and when we came back to class the next day we would talk about what happened in the chapters we read and also what we thought about the chapters. In high school, every student has to take a semester of personal finance. Well when I took personal finance my teacher taught us a lesson on how to fill out a W2 form for taxes because eventually everyone would have to use that information and fill out a real W2 form for when we have a job and do taxes. This lesson taught us about what filing taxes and filling out a W2 form would be like in the real world experience. 
2. When I was at Southwest getting my Associates degree, I was enrolled in a Physics course. In that Physics course, my professor used real world examples, like a car going a certain speed at a certain distance and he would ask how long it would take for that car to stop. My own intentional learning experience is when I worked hard and only focused on getting my associate's degree from Southwest. I had a goal to get my associates degree and I stuck to that goal so than I could move onto my other goal which is now getting my Bachelors degree from the U of M. 
2. In elementary school, We had timed math facts test which included division and multiplication problems. Every week twice a week we would have timed practice test to help us learn how to work division and multiplication problems faster and more efficient.
