1. I want to continue this upward trajectory. From a C to a B+ is great progress and shows that I have significantly improved compared to the first term. Now, I want to eye for an A grade to cap off not only Math in grade 10, but in Junior High School. I do believe I have what it takes to get this great result

2. Consulting more would be another goal I’d like to accomplish. I believe that I've improved in this area, however, there is still a lot left to be desired and I will take this opportunity fully grasp all the topics with the help of my teacher.

3. Being more active in my class would be a necessary goal for myself to try to achieve this term. Although I have been reciting and notetaking more, I believe I could do more not only to give input for myself, but to my fellow classmates as well.

I can keep track of my progress throughout the term by doing my 3 steps. Review, Perform, and Reflect. Review for the topic no matter if there is an assessment or not. Doing drills and reviewing with classmates could be an example. Perform in all sessions of Math. Participate in lectures as much as possible no matter if my initial answer is right or wrong, and do my best in my tasks. Whether that be Formative or Summative, I will bring out my best effort. Reflect on the performance. See what went wrong and improve on that, but also focus on what went right and keep that. These steps will help me achieve my goals for not only the end of the year, but also the end of the term.

I plan to achieve these goals by doing what I said in “How will you keep track of your

Progress?” It does sound repetitive, but it is true. Keeping the way I track my progress helps me achieve these goals. If anything additional, I will dedicate myself to this routine of tracking my progress and do more like searching up for more drills to do for example.

My teacher can help me whenever she is available for consultation. This will help me have further insight on topics that I may not understand, or may understand but need to double check if I understood it right. I can also do what I did last year and collaborate with classmates. Whether that be in the advanced class or in the regular class, I will always try to collaborate with my classmates for us to teach or learn from each other.

I planned these goals out not only for the sake of it, but for the benefits. I don’t feel, but know that my goals will benefit me not only in math, but in other aspects of life as well. This being habits and routines on how to be a better and more responsible person.

An appropriate end-date for me is the end of the year because I can evaluate myself on my performance for the whole year, but since it is just the middle of the year, I’ll give it this term and see what I do need to change whether that be habits or goals. This is important so that I will be able to be updated and to get more knowledge whether that be good, which I will do more, or bad , which I will avoid.

LONG TEST 2

My first perfect Long Test this year. Out of all of the topics, I studied for this the most as I had the most notes and used the most exercises for this. I was able to excel on the day itself and I had confidence that I was going to get a high score on this long test. However, I didn't expect a perfect score, but nonetheless, I am very grateful for this achievement that had eluded me all school year until now.

LONG TEST 3

Long Test 3 was probably the most difficult task of the year by far. No idea how I passed, because that test was really difficult. The funny thing is, I understood the topic to an extent, yet I felt like I didn't study at all when I did take the test. Despite all the exercises, reviewers, and notes that I had taken down, I was left frustrated at the end of the test. Even if the score doesn't seem like it, this test was arguably the hardest test I've taken this year.

New term, same study group. I was still able to stay with my original study group for this term. My classmates and I would always review each topic after a session in Math. We all benefited from this review style since we were able to collaborate to not only help each other but to share ideas and better methods for solving equations and problems. Like last term, we had a lot of fun with this, as we were able to stabilize our bond and camaraderie with each other. We always were in sync and had an open mind to everything, making our discussions organized and ones with no conflict. I am glad to have a study group like this, especially one that thrives. With the last term of JHS upon us and knowing we will be separated, we made the most out of this situation to be together.

HW#13 Asynchronous Task before Cycle 5 Day 2

Although only being homework, the revelation of this problem was oddly satisfying. I was confused about how I was going to use AB as it was stated as 15 and divert it to make it CB. I didn't have to though as I realized the lines tangent to A are both 9 and for C are both 4. Using this information, I calculated for A and C. However B was yet to be solved until I realized I could just subtract 15 and 9 which is 6. After all the calculations, I ended up right with a perimeter of 38. I was very satisfied with this realization as it seemed hard at first but it ended up being very doable.
