  • A specified device as defined by the school.

Therefore this may increase productivity and enjoyment for students, security and greater control.
One-to-one technology has lead schools into exploring options for technology within the classroom. Study has shown that there is an increase in productivity rates, when students are able to use their own device at school and when at home. Depending on the situation students may not have access to the internet at home. The main thing to consider is the socioeconomic status of students and whether or not families can afford their own personal devices. If not, then schools will need to make devices available for students to have equal access. Students will be using the internet to steam videos, research various topics. Schools will need to ensure there is a sense of security and protection for all students. Students will need to sign a contract to agree to the terms and conditions of BYOD. 
Teaching and assessment vision are important, as you can use technology for the skills and learning outcomes whilst ensuring that the assessment is hand written and only use technology when needed.
