Gender Stereotypes: In our society, gender is a social construct that involves real consequences if you don't fit in a specific "category", such as male or female. With this in mind, this mindset is heavily critical to those who don't conform to a specific gender. This video briefly explains the stereotypes that women and men have to follow through, when they are expected to act in a way that is "socially acceptable" related to their gender. Overall, this video relates to this chapter, because it affects multiple aspects of our perception towards others, as well as social behaviors and it helps others understand the different social constructs gender has on others, and that many of them go to great lengths to fit in these gender stereotypes in ways more than one.

Personality Tests: The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (most commonly known as 'MBTI') is a very popular tests that can be taken to associate people with certain behaviors, though, they are not exactly the most accurate because it's reliability is poor and it changes over time. I chose this meme, because it goes by a stereotype that majority of these personality types are introverted, but that is not always the case. It's connection to the topic is that although the Big Five Personality Inventory is associated with tests like these, it is never completely accurate because there is not much psychological evidence behind these examinations.

School Climate: The school climate relates to how children interact with other students and their teacher. In some schools, children often work together and interact with each other, but in others, they are academically competitive. In Melanie Martinez's K-12, her song Wheels on the Bus represents this generation's corrupt school systems. The lyrics say, "No one's watching us, don't give a f**k". These lyrics suggest the idea that no adults really care about the student's well-being while students treat each other with such unruliness. The main chorus, which is the title, Wheels on the Bus, illustrates the fact that Cry Baby (Melanie Martinez's character) notices all of these acts "round and round". Faculty, students, and families are encouraged to be engaged and work together to develop a 'shared school vision', yet in the music video, the school's system is portrayed as corrupt.

It's dangerous for the person that is pregnant to allow the zygote to grow and it can cause many life-threatening symptoms, such as loss of blood. This image is a visual representation of the different types of ectopic pregnancies that are possible within the lifespan. This allows others to be aware of the different types of ectopic pregnancies that can harm the person.

Social Cognition in Infants: In the first year of life, infants begin to imitate actions, such as facial expressions. It demonstrates their ability to mentally represent their actions, as well as understanding their intentions. In this image, the baby is imitating the man's facial expression, pouting. Another form of social cognition in infants is pretend playing, as shown in the image. This stage begins engaging in pretend play between one to two years of age. This demonstrates their understanding between pretense and reality, an example is playing pretend and being a doctor, and a real doctor.

Although these chromosome determine the biological sex of a person, gender is an entirely different thing. When a child receives too many or too few chromosomes, this leads to chromosome abnormalities. These abnormalities are caused by errors during chromosome division. An example of this is Down's Syndrome (shown in the image on the left). The life expectancy of those with Down Syndrome is in the middle age.
