My name is Luka. I live in London now, but I wasn't born in England. I was born in Maribor in Slovenia. We moved to England 3 years ago. My mother got a new job here. I didn't want to leave Slovenia. I had lots of friends there. The weather was great and our house was near the sea. In summer, I went to the beach after school two or three times a week. I went sailing a lot, too.
I didn't like it in England when we first arrived. I didn't have all my friends here. They were on the other side of the world. We weren't near the sea, and it was winter, so the weather wasn't very nice. It was colder than Slovenia, and when we arrived it rained a lot! I just wanted to go back to Slovenia.
Things got better when I started school. There are kids from lots of different countries at my school here, so I wasn't unusual. I soon made a lot of friends. I still miss Slovenia, but I like London. London is a great city. I can't go to the beach after school, but I go to the fitness center with my friend. I don't play football now. I play Basketball. I am in school basketball team this year.
