I took the fairy idea from stories based around Irish mythology that my dads side of the family used to tell me when I was younger. Fairies are believed to be one of the first tribes that originally settles in Ireland. and are the center of a lot of folklore over there. I was fully convinced they were real when I was younger. The wings being made out of cards has to do with how much I used to play cards with my mom as a kid.
