The Costs of Student Engagement by https://padlet.com/cinnomenmcguigan/CostOfStudentEngagement As a key priority for QAA's Student Strategic Advisory Committee, we aim to shine a light on how engagement in activities that evaluate and enhance the quality of the student experience, can be costly in terms of learning, time and finances to the students and if there are students who are unable to engage in these activities it can be potentially costly in terms of gaining student insight and voice which reflects the full diversity of their student body. The committee is keen to explore 3 areas of challenge for students when engaging (or not) in quality and enhancement activities and to determine how this might reflect in the diversity of the students who can engage and therefore get their voices heard. Proposed outputs will reflect on data gathered from across the sector and include case studies of innovative practice in engaging students in quality enhancement activities.
