This relates to the Pilgrims and Puritans by representing wanting to escape something that they’re not happy with. The Pilgrims and Puritans came to the US for religious freedom, since England was forcing them into religions that they didn’t believe in.

This lyric shows that the people at Jamestown are lazy. And if they don't work on farming they will die by hunger.

These lyrics from the song  show independence. Like how Plymouth wanted  independence they eventually raised the American flag claiming that they are not part of great Britten anymore and they own the land.

Can you imagine leaving the country you were raised in because your religion was being persecuted. The song “ I am a C” relates to the pilgrims because, it is a children's song about christianity. The pilgrims were proud to leave England and go their own way for their religion, they were proud to be their type of christian. The song i am a c is a very upbeat song and is sang very proudly. The song goes “ i am a c, i am a c-h, i am a c-h-r-i-s-t-i-a-n” But one of the lines that relates to the pilgrims the most is the line “ And i have c-h-r-i-s-t in my h-e-a-r-t and i will l-i-v-e e-t-e-r-n-a-l-l-y” When the pilgrims made their journey they had to have faith and christ in their heart. Everything could go wrong during their journey and they took a huge risk. The pilgrims are the more religious ones of the two colonies ( Jamestown and MA) and the theme of this song is definitely based on religion.

Another one bites the dust 

This song could represent the struggle the immigrants face as they are constantly losing  their family members to disease the natives and other struggles. “Another One Bites the Dust Another One Bites the Dust  And another one gone and another one gone”. These lyrics show almost how normalized death is becoming in these communities it's almost a part of daily life.

The song imagine by john lennon is very reflective of the hope immigrants have when they moved to the americas. the new life that they wanted for their families
