         <title>Increase in heart rate</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>definition: Tachycardia is a <strong>faster</strong> than normal <strong>heart rate</strong> at rest. A healthy adult <strong>heart</strong> normally <strong>beats</strong> 60 to 100 times a minute when a person is at rest. If you have tachycardia (tak-ih-KAHR-dee-uh), the <strong>heart rate</strong> in the upper chambers or lower chambers of the <strong>heart</strong>, or both, is <strong>increased</strong>.<br>It increases due to high demands of exercise and teh flow of blood can vary.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Redistribution of blood</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>At rest, only 15-20% of cardiac output is directed to skeletal muscle (the majority of it goes to the liver (27%) and the kidneys (22%). Blood is redirected to areas where it is needed most.<br>The redirection of blood away from areas where it is not needed (eg. spleen, kidneys) to areas where it is needed (eg. working muscles).<br>During exercise our heart rate increases causing the blood flow to increase and rise towards the skin, the increase of blood flow also allows more blood to go towards the skeletal muscles due to them working harder and needing the energy produced to allow them to work correctly and effectively.<br><strong>Physical Activity&nbsp;</strong></div><ul><li>With exercise, <a href="http://www.teachpe.com/anatomy/energy_systems.php"><strong>metabolism</strong></a> speeds up and because of this the muscles require more oxygen&nbsp;</li><li>So the heart beats faster to supply the muscles with more oxygen-rich blood&nbsp;</li><li>In turn the speed of blood flow increases.</li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Definition<br>The amount of blood ejected by the left ventricle in one contraction.<br><br>Stroke volume increases because; when you exercise, your cardiovascular system works harder. It needs to deliver oxygen to muscles, transport heat to the skin, transport hormones to meet metabolic demands and deliver nutrients and fuel to tissues. The volume delivered by each beat of your heart -- your stroke volume -- increases when you exercise to increase the circulating blood in your system so your body responds appropriately to exercise.</div>]]></description>

It is measured in mL. The benefit of having a increase in cardiac output is that the heart will have to beat less times per minute to release the sam amount of blood to the body.<br>This happens because the heart become bigger and stronger and is able to increase the cardiac output.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>Decrease in resting and working heart rate. &amp;nbsp;Your&amp;nbsp;resting heart rate&amp;nbsp;(RHR) is the number of times a your&amp;nbsp;heart beats&amp;nbsp;per minute while at complete&amp;nbsp;rest.&amp;nbsp;Resting heart rate&amp;nbsp;will&amp;nbsp;decrease&amp;nbsp;as your&amp;nbsp;heart&amp;nbsp;becomes stronger with aerobic&amp;nbsp;exercise&amp;nbsp;training. A low&amp;nbsp;resting heart rate&amp;nbsp;is an indicator of good fitness. With a slower working heart rate, the heart&#39;s left ventricle has more time to fill with blood and more time to deliver oxygen/nutrients around the body - it is more efficient at meeting the boy&#39;s needs.</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>your blood pressure varies throughout the day depending on what youre doing. the more active you are the harder your blood has to be pumped and this then causes the blood pressure to rise. normal blood pressure should rise during exercise and then return to normal once you are finished.<br>  when your exercising your muscles need more oxygen. the heart then pumps more blood around your body with more powerful contractions which will make your blood pressure increase. your blood pressure increases  during exercise as the cardiovascular system delivers more blood to the working muscles </div>]]></description>
