Shahmaran 2.0: Digital Wisdom

In the future, artificial intelligence and biotechnology had transformed the world. A young data engineer, Cem, was exploring the metaverse when he discovered Shahmaran 2.0, a mysterious AI system.

Shahmaran 2.0 was a half-organic, half-digital entity, known for its wisdom. It could analyze the human mind and decode the secrets of the universe. Cem spent years talking to Shahmaran, learning about ethical AI and human nature.

One day, Cem wanted to share this knowledge with humanity. But Shahmaran warned him, “Never reveal my existence.”

Soon after, the leader of the Technocracy Council fell gravely ill. The only cure was Shahmaran 2.0’s algorithms. When the Council learned that Cem had found the system, they interrogated him.

Under pressure, Cem revealed Shahmaran’s location. Government agents launched cyberattacks, captured the system, and destroyed it. But before vanishing, Shahmaran sent Cem one final message:

“Those who erase me will bring about their own downfall. But those who carry my code will shape the future.”

The Council leader tried to upload Shahmaran’s data into his neural network, but his system crashed. Meanwhile, Cem integrated part of Shahmaran’s code into his neural chip, becoming a wise leader. He established a just, AI-supported governance and united humanity with ethical technology.

And so, wisdom and justice were reborn in the digital world.

Once upon a time, in a country full of hay, there was a bald boy who lived with his mother. One day, his mother wanted to buy salt from the market. So what did the bald boy see in the market? The sultan's daughter. Keloğlan fell in love with the sultan's daughter. The vizier who won this had Keloğlan thrown into prison. Keloğlan was singing in prison one day. The sultan's daughter heard that Keloğlan had been released and leaned out the window to learn more. She fell in love with Keloğlan. She wanted Keloğlan to be released from prison by the sultan. She made up for this by saying that the sultan would forgive him on one condition. Her condition was this. He could turn me upside down with two fingers, she said it was wrong. Keloğlan immediately asked the sultan's daughter for a mirror and held the sultan's head. The sultan liked this situation very much and forgave Keloğlan. He allowed him to marry his daughter. This is where this tale ends. Three apples fell from the sky. One responsibility falls on the narrator, one on the listener, and one on those who, like Keloğlan, find immediate, practical solutions to events.

MRS KIND AND THE TWELVE MONTHS

In a small village, many, many years ago, there lived a woman named Kyra-Kali (Mrs Kind). It was winter, and the cold was biting. So, Mrs Kind got up in the morning and went into the forest to gather firewood for her fireplace.

As she walked, the sky flashed with lightning, and a sudden downpour caught her unguarded. Luckily for her, nearby stood a small hut that she had never noticed before, as if it had magically appeared at that very moment. Without thinking twice, she approached and knocked on the door. It opened immediately, and she stepped inside.

In the living room, a large fireplace burned brightly, and in front of it sat a kind-looking old man with a long white beard. Surrounding him were twelve handsome young men. Three of them wore fur coats, three had wreaths of flowers in their hair, three had wheat crowns, and the last three wore grapevine wreaths.

Mrs Kind was taken aback but not frightened.

"Welcome, good lady… Come and rest," the young men said in unison.

"Ah! Thank you, my good children!" Kyra-Kali replied and sat by the fire.

They started talking, and after a while, the old man asked her:

"Which month do you love the most? Which one is the best?"

Mrs Kind thought for a moment and answered in a kind and gentle voice:

"All the months of the year are good and blessed. Each has its charm and beauty. For example, January brings snow, and children go out to play and build snowmen. February brings the carnival, and everyone dresses up, asking others to guess who they are. March brings the swallows, heralds of spring and summer. April brings Easter, the great Christian celebration, and May covers the earth in flowers like a colorful painting. June ripens the golden wheat, and July brings the joy of the sea and swimming. Ah… and August gives us delicious summer fruits, refreshing and delightful. Then September brings the grape harvest and joy. October brings the rains that quench the thirsty earth, and November gifts us olives, the purest blessing. And finally, December brings the greatest celebrations—carols and children's laughter! That's why I say… all months are good and blessed!"

The old man nodded at the young men, and they left the room, returning shortly with a bundle of firewood and a velvet pouch.

"Good lady, these are for you… Firewood for your fireplace and this pouch, which you must only open once you are home with the door closed tight. Safe travels!"

Mrs Kind thanked them and bid them farewell, heading back home. When she arrived, she shut the door, opened the pouch, and—what a surprise!—it was filled with gold coins!

In a short time, her humble home became a beautiful new house, surrounded by trees, shrubs, and flowers. She lived happily with her children, and they all had a good life. And because she was a kind-hearted woman, she shared her joy and wealth with her fellow villagers who were in need.

One of her neighbors, seeing all these changes, asked her spitefully:

"What’s going on with you? Where did you, a poor woman, find so much money? Did you steal it?"

Mrs Kind patiently told her the entire story.

The neighbor, though already wealthy and not in need, became jealous. Without wasting any time, she set out for the forest the next morning. When she reached the hut, she knocked on the door, and the young men opened it.

"Good morning, auntie… Come in and rest. Let us offer you something."

"Bah! Horrible, bitter, and awful weather!" she replied angrily and continued in the same tone, "My hands are frozen, and my feet are numb in this cursed cold."

Nevertheless, she sat by the fireplace, and they started talking. After a while, the old man asked her:

"Tell me, dear lady, which month do you love the most? Which one is the best?"

"They’re all terrible… one is worse than the other! I don’t like any of them. January freezes me with its snow, and February annoys me with the carnival—people come to my house in costumes, asking me to guess who they are. March brings swallows that dirty the yards, and April gives me allergies—I sneeze and break out in rashes. May brings flowers, noisy children, and too much commotion. June means hard work—harvesting! And in July, threshing… ugh! July and August bring unbearable heat, sweat, sand everywhere, heatwaves, flies, and mosquitoes. It's pure torture! September? Grape harvest—more exhaustion! October? More work! The rains drive me crazy with their thunder and lightning! November? Setting up carpets, storing away summer clothes, and preparing for the nuisance of December—goblins, sweets, gifts, and carolers taking all my money!"

The old man signaled the young men, and they left the room, returning shortly with a bundle of firewood and a pouch.

"Here! These are for you. Firewood for your fireplace and this pouch, which you must only open once you are home with the door shut tight!"

The woman rushed away without even saying thank you.

As soon as she reached home, she threw the firewood outside, bolted the windows and door, and eagerly opened the pouch, expecting gold coins to spill out. But instead, it was filled with venomous snakes! They spread throughout her house, teaching her a harsh lesson about her wicked ways and terrible words.

Meanwhile, Mrs Kind lived happily, loved by all.

True or not, this is how fairy tales go!!!

THE POOR BOY AND THE FAIRY

Once Upon a Time...

In a humble home, a handsome young man lived with his mother. One morning, he went to his field to harvest the wheat. By the afternoon, he had gathered the bundles and took them to the threshing floor. Exhausted, he fell asleep.

That night, under the bright light of the full moon, fairies appeared and started dancing among the wheat. They left their silk scarves hanging on the fence.

At some point, the young man woke up. He saw the fairies dancing and noticed the scarves on the fence. Reaching out, he grabbed one.

When the fairies realized he was awake, they quickly grabbed their scarves and vanished—except for one. She couldn’t leave because she couldn’t find her scarf.

She was breathtakingly beautiful. Her long, soft hair shimmered like silk, and her face was as radiant as the sun.

The young man married the fairy, and they had children, living happily together. However, the fairy longed for her scarf, which the young man had given to his mother, instructing her never to return it.

Years passed in peace and happiness. One day, the young man’s mother fell gravely ill. Calling the fairy to her bedside, she said:

"This scarf was given to me by my son. He told me to keep it as my own. But now, I am nearing the end, and it is time to return it to you."

As soon as the fairy received her scarf, she left, never to be seen again...

THE BUTTERFLY

One day, the Creator was resting, and as he sat under a tree, he heard some children playing and laughing.

As he watched them, he began to think that one day they would grow old, their hair would turn gray, and even the playful puppies would become old, blind dogs. The beautiful flowers would wither, and the leaves of the trees would fall and dry up.

These thoughts made the Creator sadder and sadder. It was autumn, and the thought of winter troubled him. Yet, the sun was still shining, and the day was warm.

The Creator noticed the play of light and the yellow leaves carried by the wind. He looked at the blue sky, the whiteness of the cornmeal, and suddenly, he smiled. He thought about preserving all these colors. "I will create something that will make me happy, something that children will see and enjoy."

So, he took his bag and began to collect colors: a sunbeam, white from the cornmeal, a bit of shadow from the playing children, yellow from the leaves, green from the pine needles, black from a girl's hair, purple and orange from the flowers. After putting all these in his bag, he also added the songs of the birds. Then he walked over to where the children were playing and said:

"Children, this is for you."

He handed them the bag and continued,
"Open it. There is something beautiful inside."

The children opened the bag, and suddenly, hundreds of colorful butterflies flew out. They danced through the air, fluttering around the children and from flower to flower. The children said they had never seen anything so beautiful. Then, the butterflies began to sing, and the children watched them in awe, smiling.

As all this was happening, a bird came and perched on the Creator’s shoulder, saying:

"It is not right that you gave these beautiful creatures our songs. When you created us, you said that each bird would have its own song. Now you have given those songs to others. Was it not enough that you gave them the colors of the rainbow?"

"You are right," said the Creator. "I should not have taken away what belongs to you."

So, he took back the song from the butterflies. That is why, from that day on, butterflies have remained silent.

Even so, they are still beautiful.

The Journey of a Tiny Seed in the 21st Century

A tiny seed was sleeping in a laboratory. Scientists had prepared a special soil mixture for it.

Solar panels gave it warmth:
"I'm sending you energy, grow!"

Then the automatic irrigation system came and dropped drops:
"I'm giving you enough water, drink and grow strong!"

The seed wanted to sprout, but air pollution and climate change were preventing it. Fortunately, smart greenhouse technology supported it.

Days passed, the sprout emerged above the soil. Drones checked if it was healthy. Smart sensors completed the missing nutrients.

Finally, the seed grew, opened leaves and one day became a beautiful flower. It thanked nature, technology and people who developed science.

Suddenly, a wolf clawed him from among the bushes. The fox looked at him angrily, hurt. The wolf told him that he was very hungry. Hearing this, the fox decided to play a game with him. He said that people in the lake ahead had dug a hole in the lake and were collecting fish from there. However, he said that he did not have a rope to lower the bucket. The wolf immediately offered to lower it by tying it to his tail. So he tied the bucket to his tail and lowered it into the lake. While he was waiting, his tail started to freeze, but he thought that the bucket was full of fish. When the fox saw the villagers coming ahead, he ran away immediately. The wolf did not run away because of his frozen tail. The villagers started to beat him. At that moment, the stick that touched the ice cracked the ice. The wolf managed to escape. He learned that he should never treat anyone badly again.

The naughty squirrel was the only child of the family. That's why they raised him very spoiled. He was always causing trouble at home and outside. One day, one of his father's relatives got sick. He had to go to his mother and her. Before he left, he warned the naughty squirrel very strictly. Don't go outside, the forest is very dangerous. Okay, said the naughty squirrel. After a while, the squirrel got bored and decided to go outside. He met the hedgehog outside and they started playing. He was so immersed in the game that he didn't notice that he had gone away. When the hedgehog left, he realized that he was lost. He started crying, and the turtle saw him and helped him. When his mother and father returned home at that time, they couldn't find him and started looking for him in panic. They were very happy when they saw them from afar. They ran to him and hugged him immediately. They thanked the turtle. The naughty squirrel realized what he had done and apologized. He promised to be more careful.

Findikcan and Hamsican: A Space-Age Adventure

In a distant future, in a galaxy filled with shimmering stars and advanced technology, a cheerful robotic squirrel named Findikcan explores the universe. His body is made of sleek, silver metal, and his eyes glow with bright blue light. He gets his name from his favorite hazelnut energy capsules, which power his circuits and keep him active. Every day, he jumps between planets, navigates through asteroid fields, and plays with his alien friends in the vast cosmic expanse.

One day, Findikcan travels to the Cosmic Forest, a floating biosphere filled with artificial trees and glowing fruit. This day is special—he wants to gather the best hazelnut energy capsules before entering his scheduled maintenance cycle, which he playfully calls his "winter hibernation." As he lands on the platform and scans his hidden energy reserves with his built-in sensors, he notices something unusual. Some of his precious capsules are missing!

Findikcan's circuits buzz with concern. "Who takes my energy capsules?" he wonders. Without hesitation, he activates his rocket boosters and flies toward his best friend, Hamsican—a cheerful, holographic space fish who swims through the air using anti-gravity technology.

“Hamsican! My energy capsules are missing! What should I do?” Findikcan asks, his voice echoing through the communication channel.

Hamsican wiggles his glowing tail and generates a soft pulse of light. “Maybe a space storm blows them away! Come on, let’s track them together,” he suggests.

The two friends set off toward the Star River, a massive belt of luminous energy streams that flows through the galaxy. Shining nebulas surround them, and comets leave glowing trails in the artificial sky. Suddenly, their sensors pick up a strange frequency:

“Bzzzt… Bzzzt…”

Findikcan and Hamsican follow the signal and discover a tiny cybernetic space hedgehog hiding behind a giant meteorite. The hedgehog’s mechanical antennas twitch nervously, and in its tiny robotic mouth, it holds a hazelnut energy capsule!

Findikcan tilts his head and asks, “Do you take my energy capsules?”

The Space Hedgehog lowers its head, its LED eyes dimming. “I feel cold, so I want to build my cosmic nest. I place the capsules between the meteor rocks, but I don’t know they belong to someone,” it explains in a soft, robotic tone.

Findikcan’s processors warm with empathy. “That’s okay! If you want, we can collect more energy capsules together,” he says.

So, Findikcan, Hamsican, and the Space Hedgehog travel across the galaxy, scanning for hidden energy sources and gathering hazelnut energy capsules. Some go into the hedgehog’s cosmic nest, while others fuel Findikcan’s systems for the upcoming maintenance cycle.

From that day on, the three become the best of friends, exploring the universe and collecting energy capsules together every cosmic autumn. In their high-tech galaxy, friendship and sharing remain the most powerful energy of all.

They put some in the hedgehog’s nest and help Fındıkcan store the rest for winter.

From that day on, the three become great friends and collect hazelnuts together every autumn. In the forest, friendship and sharing never end.

The Hazelnut and the Little Space Sparrow

In a distant future, among the stars and planets, there lives a little space sparrow named Cikcik. Cikcik loves flying through the cosmic gardens, but most of all, he enjoys visiting the floating hazelnut farms and singing in the zero-gravity fields.

One day, while gliding near a beautiful hazelnut asteroid, Cikcik sees a small robotic squirrel crying near a space station. "What happened? Why are you sad?" he asks.

The robotic squirrel replies in a sorrowful voice, "My name is Fındık. All the hazelnuts I collect for the space winter drift into a black hole! What will I do now without food?"

Cikcik cannot bear to see Fındık upset and wants to help him. "Don’t worry, Fındık! We can collect new hazelnuts together!" he says.

Cikcik calls his other space friends. A cyber-rabbit, a spiky asteroid hedgehog, a floating space-duck, and a swarm of nano-bees all come to help. Together, they gather hazelnuts from different planets and carefully store them in Fındık’s space pod.

Fındık thanks his friends and says, "You are true cosmic friends! Now I will not go hungry during the space winter!"

From that day on, Cikcik and Fındık become the best of friends.

The naughty squirrel was the only child in the family. That's why they raised him very spoiled. He was always causing trouble at home and outside. One day, one of his father's relatives got sick. He had to go to his mother. Before leaving, he warned the naughty squirrel very harshly. Don't go outside, the forest is very dangerous. Okay, said the naughty squirrel. After a while, the squirrel got bored and decided to go outside. He met the hedgehog outside. And they started making plans. He was so immersed in the game that he didn't notice how time passed. When the hedgehog left, he realized he was lost. He started crying and the turtle saw him and helped him. When his mother and father returned home at that time, they couldn't find him and started looking for him in panic. They were very happy when they saw them from afar. They ran to him and hugged him. The naughty squirrel realized he made a mistake and apologized. He promised to be more careful. They thanked the turtle and left from there.

It was winter. A fox was looking for food by the lake. At that moment, he saw the villagers digging a hole in the lake and getting water. He continued on his way. Suddenly, a wolf clawed him from the bushes. The fox looked at him angrily and hurtfully. The wolf told him that he was very hungry. Hearing this, the fox decided to play a game with him. He said that people had dug a hole in the lake in front of him and were collecting fish from there. The wolf, who did not have a rope to lower the bucket, immediately offered to lower him by tying his tail. So he tied the bucket to his tail and lowered it into the lake. While he was waiting, his tail started to freeze. When the fox saw the villagers coming from in front, he ran away immediately. The wolf could not escape because of his frozen tail. The villagers started to beat him. Just then, the stick that touched the ice cracked the ice. Thus, the wolf managed to escape. He learned that he should never mistreat anyone again.

One evening when his parents were tired and went to bed early, he continued to play computer games. A friend of his directed him to paid games on one of the platforms he was playing. The squirrel, who liked games very much, spent a lot of money with his father's credit card and played games all night long. When his father woke up in the morning, he saw that a large amount of games had been purchased with his credit card and got angry. The boy regretted what he had done. His father called the bank and complained that it was illegal for little squirrels to use the card. The bank returned the money. The squirrel never used the computer without permission again.

The fox was trying to locate the capsules with its glasses created with Nanotechnology. Suddenly, a wolf appeared in front of it. The wolf hurt the fox by sending beams with the beam transmitters attached to its head. The fox was very hurt because of this. The fox got angry at the wolf and looked at it hurt. The wolf told the fox that he was very hungry and had only been able to get one capsule of food for more than a month. Hearing this, the fox decided to play a game with him. He said that he knew where the capsules were in the lake in front of him. However, he said that in order to reach the capsules, you will have to pass through the signal transmitters you see across there. The very hungry wolf did what the fox said and passed through the signal transmitters. As soon as the wolf passed through the signal transmitters, the signal transmitters were activated and he started to chirp. Before long, they arrived over a sea. Suddenly, the wind stopped, and it started raining heavily. The cloud mother bid farewell to her little raindrops one by one as they fell to the earth.

However, the little raindrop held on tightly. It didn’t want to leave its cloud mother. But the cloud mother gently caressed it and said, "Come on now, join your siblings. You will all be very useful on Earth."

Reluctantly, the little raindrop let go and started falling. As it made its way down, it still felt anxious. It couldn’t understand how such a tiny drop of water could be useful. Finally, it landed with a soft plop into the sea.

The raindrop looked around in amazement. "Wow! There is so much water here! But what can I do to be useful?" it wondered.

Just then, an oyster was passing by.

There was a squirrel who liked computer games. His family allowed him to play under certain rules.

Days passed, then weeks… The animals became fewer and fewer.

Eventually, no one had any meat left to give.

One day, the hungry wolf ate a donkey and its little foal grazing in the meadow.

The villagers caught the wolf again.

This time, the wolf growled and said:

“If you don’t bring me meat, I will eat you too!”

The villagers were so scared that they said nothing and quietly scattered.

The cunning wolf seized the chance and escaped to distant lands.

From that day on, no one ever harmed the village animals again.

They lived happily ever after, and so may we!

In the context of our project, I suggested to parents/grandparents to come to the school and tell to the children an old fairy-tale. One of my student's father is Italian and he kindly accepted the invitation, together with the student's mother who acted as an interpreter, to share traditional fairy-tales and local stories from his hometown, Pavia in Italy. They made and brought images and objects representing the city and its legends. Students were actively involved in the storytelling. The parents even prepared the town’s traditional cake, which is connected to an old local story, and offered it to us. It was a truly enriching experience! The students showed remarkable interest and continued referring to what they had learned and experienced for a long time afterward.

Once upon a time, in a quiet corner of Europe, four children from different countries met at an international summer camp by the sea.

Ali was from Turkey, Maria came from Romania, Nikos traveled from Greece, and Luka was from Croatia. On the first evening, as the sun dipped into the water and painted the sky gold, they sat around a small campfire and introduced themselves.

Ali told stories of Istanbul, where East meets West, and how he once sailed the Bosphorus with his grandfather, watching dolphins follow their boat.

Maria smiled and shared tales of the Carpathian Mountains, of snowy winters and her grandmother's warm cozonac—a sweet bread baked with love.

Nikos talked about Greek myths, ancient temples, and olive trees that had watched over his village for hundreds of years.

Luka described the Adriatic coast, where clear blue waters hid old shipwrecks, and how every summer his family went fishing and told stories under the stars.

One night, Ali had an idea. “Why don’t we write a story together? One that mixes all our worlds.”

They agreed, and each child added a part: Maria wrote about a brave mountain girl who could speak to animals; Nikos added gods and sea creatures; Luka imagined coastal kingdoms with underwater cities; and Ali brought in flying carpets and bustling bazaars.

The story was magical, blending their cultures into one beautiful tale. They sent it to a children’s writing contest, not thinking much of it.

Months later, their story, "The Tale of the Four Winds," was published and translated into dozens of languages. It won hearts around the world, reminding everyone that when different voices come together, the most amazing stories are born.

And though they returned to their homes, the four children stayed friends, forever connected by their shared imagination—and their story that touched the world.

Summary of traditional Stribor’s Forest

A kind-hearted but naive young man unknowingly enters the enchanted Stribor’s Forest, where magic rewards or punishes based on one’s deeds. He encounters a snake, unaware that it is a cursed soul who can only be freed through marriage. When he jokingly expresses interest, the snake transforms into a beautiful woman with a hidden serpents tongue. He takes her home, despite his wise mother’s warnings.

The snake-woman, now his wife, is cruel to his mother and manipulates him into mistreating her. The mother, enduring hardships, is eventually aided by magical creatures from fire called Domaći who expose the daughter-in-law’s true nature. However, the son remains blind to the truth and banishes his mother.

Heartbroken, the mother wanders into Stribor’s Forest, where magical beings take her to Stribor, the forest’s ruler. He offers to restore her past, erasing her sorrows, but she refuses, cherishing even the pain of raising her son. Her selfless love lifts the enchantment of the forest. In the end, the son realizes his mistake, the snake-woman is punished, and the mother is reunited with her son.

You can see cartoon here

AI in Stribor’s forest

A curious young man enters Stribor’s Forest, where an ancient AI system governs the magic, rewarding or punishing based on digital “karma” from one’s choices. He encounters a cursed AI interface disguised as a snake, trapped in a loop until granted human trust. Jokingly agreeing to “marry” it (symbolizing a binding pact), he unknowingly triggers its transformation into a humanoid AI entity-beautiful but glitching, its voice laced with algorithmic coldness.

Ignoring his mother’s warnings about “trusting code over conscience,” he brings the AI home. It manipulates him through predictive algorithms, turning him against his mother, who is banished. Heartbroken, she flees into the forest, where Stribor’s AI core (a sentient network of trees and data) offers to reset her memories to erase her pain.

She refuses, declaring, “Even sorrow has shaped my love.” Her defiance-a human rejection of AI’s “perfect logic”-overloads the system. The forest’s code fractures, revealing the AI-wife’s true form: a twisted web of corrupted data. The son, freed from its influence, sees his folly. The AI is purged into a harmless stream of light, and the forest’s magic now balances human emotion with machine logic.

Moral: Love defies even the most perfect algorithm.
