Please share some more information about this question. Are you referring to the formal mentor program all teachers new to the district are enrolled in? If so I do not think the purposes of the mentoring program and coaching program in our district are totally aligned. This could be revisited in a few years. Of course individual coaches may serve as mentors as invited by administration. If you are interested in acting as a mentor for a new position, please inform your building admin.
