Whiplash,is a film released in 2014, directed by Damien Chazelle, who today has gained a certain fame due to some of his latest films such as "LA LA LAND" or "First Man"; feature films which were a resounding success on the big screen, however, whiplash is not far behind, with a gross of 49 million dollars over the 3.3 million of budget which is exceptional in terms of money. In the cast, we have Miles Teller, who knows how to capture the circumstances that his character goes through very well; as an antagonist we have J.K Simmons who, although he is a secondary character, stands out equal to or more than the protagonist, He has an incredible naturalness to make exciting and tense scenes at the same time, not in vain in this film, he won the Oscar for best actor in the cast.

The story tells of Andrew Neiman's (Miles Teller) evolution on his road to "success" as a musician, he is a jazz student at a prestigious conservatory, Andrew plays drums and his dream is to be a renowned musician worldwide, However, the conductor Terence Fletcher(J.K Simmons) will make his life hell, since he is very strict and demanding with his students, he constantly seeks perfection in the compositions that he directs; During the movie you can appreciate the passion and willpower that Andrew has for music, having to overcome various obstacles such as his family's disapproval of his career or the fact of feeling completely useless in the orchestra; the film, as you may have imagined, has a lot of musical pieces such as Caravan, Whiplash, Overture, among others, also is necessary to stands out the film shots, which manage to reach an excellent angle to see what the director and the actors want to convey, you can see the true cost of becoming a great jazz musician in nowdays.

In my experience as a "musician" I can say that the film is excellent, you can feel the protagonist's frustration at not achieve the expectations of his teacher and his family, just like when you start to play, all the notes sound bad and progress between day and day it seems to be practically non-existent, but that is where the only thing that allows you to continue is the willpower, Andrew is a perfect example of this courage, as he wants to achieve his goal at all costs, which is admirable to see. In my most sincere opinion I think this is a film that everyone should see it sometime, whether you are a musician or not, the director's style I think is perfect for the film giving it the seriousness it corresponds to, I definitely recommend this masterpiece.

And finally, it transmits and mirror’s many of the frustrations that are still experienced just for being a woman, and that making a connecting and manages to empathize with the film.

Set in a future time, Katniss, only 16 years old, lives in District 12, because in the government of President Coriolanus Snow (Donald Sutherland) the population of the Panem was divided into 12 districts after a terrible war due to the rebellion. Each district lives in worse conditions than the one that follows it, the last ones in conditions of extreme poverty; being thus the Capitol the sector with the most developed technology and living at the expense of the other districts. To prevent new rebellions and maintain fear, the Capitol has created "The Hunger Games", in which each district must send a man and a woman between 12 and 18 years old, selected at random, to compete in a war in where only one will survive. The bloody event is also televised as entertainment for the inhabitants of the Capitol. In the famous "Harvest", the main character, Katniss, offers herself as a tribute in exchange for her little sister. As soon as they are participating in the games, Katniss, on the advice of her mentor Haymitch Abernathy (Woody Harrelson), finds out that the only way to survive is to get the support and sympathy of the viewers, and she must do things that were not in her initial plans.
