I speak Italian and French too, and I used to be a broadcast journalist back in the day. I still love radio.

More recently I have delved into the world of faciliation, both in-person and online, like we will be training you all to do.

It's great to be able to hear different perspectives on issues. The learning never ends.

So, I very much look forward to meeting you all online and getting stuck in.

I'm an English language teacher at the University of Bologna Language Centre. I'm also a trained dialogue facilitator, and have volunteered with Soliya. In addition, I'm a trainer in Virtual Exchange for UNICollaborations, who are partners in this project.

Recently, I have become interested in AI and its societal impact (though I'm no expert in AI!), so I'm particularly interested this project and its critical approach.

I am originally from Uzbekistan and speak Uzbek and Russian as well.

My journey started in Ethiopia, survived a degree in Awesomeness at Bahir Dar University, then landed in Italy for my Masters at University of Padova (fuelled by espresso). I took a one-semester detour to brave a chilly Erasmus in Finland to learn sustainability from the people who invented "sisu."

Now I'm completing my traineeship in Belgium (fuelled by fries) while finishing that Masters.

My superpower? I once convinced AI to be a force for good and won the Enactus Italy National Competition for Social Impact with our AI focused project. Now I'm writing my dissertation on organizing for sustainability through AI—basically building a real-life Jarvis for the planet.

I joined the CVE in AI programme to strengthen my understanding of how emerging technologies, such as AI, can enhance learning, decision-making, and organisational effectiveness. I am excited to collaborate, learn from different perspectives, and contribute through both my academic and consulting experience.

I am currently studying MSc Computer Information Systems and I’m excited to be part of this class community. I have a strong interest in technology, digital transformation, and how AI is reshaping the academic and professional landscape.

Together with my research partner, I am currently working on an investigative paper titled “An Investigation into the Impact of AI Tools on Academic and Research Integrity.” Our work explores both the opportunities and challenges that generative AI brings to modern academic practices.

I'm also a Professional Development Mentor at the University, where I facilitate a session as a mentor with some post-graduate students on a module called Reflection Skills.

I am deeply interest in AI because, it is the new realty of this generation. I'm really looking forward to improving my facilitation skills and to learn more about AI.
