He spent most of his life in Springfield, Illinois. </p></li><li><p>He gave speeches to abolish slavery and was responsible for ending the civil war.</p></li><li><p>He was the tallest president standing at 6'4 inches tall.</p></li></ol>]]></description>

He passed away January 16th, 1901 in Aberdeen, Mississippi.</p></li><li><p>He spent most of his life in St. Louis after he moved there from Mississippi.</p></li><li><p>He became a senator in/during reconstruction. </p></li><li><p>He was the first African American to become senate.</p></li></ol>]]></description>

He passed away February 20, 1895 in Washington D.C.</p></li><li><p>He spent most of his life in Massachusetts after him and his wife moved there.</p></li><li><p>He was anti slavery and was an abolitionist in/during reconstruction.</p></li><li><p> He broke his hand so badly it never fully healed.</p></li></ol>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li><p>Andrew Johnson was born December 29th, 1808 in Raleigh, North Carolina. He passed away July 31, 1875 in Carter Station Tennessee.</p></li><li><p>He spent most of his life in Tennessee. </p></li><li><p>Andrew Johnson was the vice president of Abraham Lincoln and became president after his assassination in 1865. He was a big part of the Civil war and vetoed an extension for the bureau bill and started Radical Reconstruction. He was also impeached by the Congress but then was proven to be not guilty so he didn't get in trouble.</p></li><li><p>Andrew Johnson was the first president who wasn't involved with law or in the military before his presidency. </p></li></ol>]]></description>

He also supported African American troops and Reconstruction. He though it was often ineffective. </p></li><li><p>He was the 18th president of the U.S..
