Discussion of The Metamorphosis

In this task we had to investigate some questions about the book "The Metamorphosis" which we had been reading for the past week. We had to choose one of the question the teacher had created, and give an analytical answer with quotes to back our answers. I chose to analyze question number 3, and I believe I did a good job at it, as I was able to correctly answer the question and analyze Gregors sense of guilt towards his transformation.

This was a type of exam we did a while back, we had to read closely a text the teacher gave us, answer her questions about it and write a paragraph analyzing the text and the questions. I personally believe I did a good job at it, but statistically speaking this was my lowest task and I belive that analysis of a text we read at that moment aren't my strongest aspect.

Esta fue mi reseña final, el trabajo final del primer bimestre. Realmente creo que merecía mejor calificación, ya que le puse mucho esfuerzo pero tuve algunos detalles los cuales voy a tener que mantener en mente la próxima vez que vaya a hacer un trabajo como este.

Nota informativa

Este trabajo también creo que merecía mejor calificación. Teníamos que crear una infografía sobre que es una nota informativa. La infografía tenía que incluir toda la información relevante a una nota informativa y un ejemplo de esta. Al final el profesor concluyo que mi información estaba incorrecta y que me faltaban algunos puntos importantes, realmente fue una decepción pero estoy dispuesto a mejorar los detalles para el próximo trabajo parecido.

The Bimester Exam and the Sumative Project

The bimester exam was my best grade, with the summative project from the first bimester. I studied a lot for the final exam, and really believe I understood everything I needed to know, as the Napoleonic wars and the French Revolution are two of my favorite subjects (as I really love history). The summative project also reflected that, as we had to answer some questions regarding Napoleon and his battles against the other European powers. To be completely honest this project was a lot of fun to me personally and I believe I did my best.

To be completely honest, I am really disappointed in myself for getting this grade. Not only do I love the Napoleonic wars and everything that has to do with that, but I also love geography and maps. In this task we were supposed to show the route of Napoleons conquest and color the countries that were allied to gin at the time. I missed some details, but still ended up getting a 5 Ib. This is still a very good grade, but its still my lowest grade, and I know I could have done better.

Project "Master Chef"

In the last bimester of chemistry we had to cook a recipe of our choice and compare its build to another. My team, which was: Elias, Sofia Machado and me decided to cook two types of meat at the same time, and measure the temperature in which the meat cooked. I cook the meat and gave my team the information, after which we made the presentation. We did a very dissent job, yet while presenting we fumbled some of the key words and discovered we had done the variables of the experiment incorrectly, which is why we ended up with: 6, 6, and 4.

Balance Exercises

This was a mathematical topic in chemistry that cost me a lot to complete. At the beginning I didn't understand how to answer them, it took me a while to finally understand how to answer this exercises. But by the time I had been able to understand it, my teacher didn't allow me to upload the task and gave me this zero. From all my tasks, this has definitely my worst grade.

Class work

My best task has defenetally been the task that we have started in class and finish as homework. This is because I have the chance to ask the teacher questions about things I didn't understand about the subject. After he answers my questions I am able to continue my work with better quality. And when I don't manage to finish a all the exercises I am able to take it home and finish it, then upload it.

Bimesteral Exam

The worst grade out of all my grades in the bimester has definitely been the grade I had for the second part of the first bimestral exam. I believed that I had it in the bag and concentrated on studying for the chemistry bimestral exam. Yet when it was time for the exam, I had forgotten everything and made a fool of myself. I really regret this grade and wish there was something I could do about it. But the only thing I can do is get a better grade on the second bimestral exam.

Repetition Exercise

In theater, we had to practice a technique created by Sanford Meinser called "The Meinser technique" or "the repetition exercise". It consists on repeating a phrase/sentence while maintaining eye contact with your partner. At any moment the teacher could also tell us to change the phrase or the emotion with which we say it. This exercise is to teach actors how to give a scene emotional weight. I personally believe I did a good job at this exercise and also believe it was very fun, but afterwards we had to write a reflection about it. I believe the reflection correctly stated everything that had happened, but apparently I missed a couple of details because I got a smaller grade than what I had expected.

The Sanford Meinser Technique

It is practically the same as the last example, yet this was the reflection e had to do about the investigation. I really don't understand why but I got a 4 Ib on criteria A, which was the investigation of who was Sanford Meinser and his technique. I really believe that I deserved a better garde and don't understand what went wrong.

Completed Debate Prep

This is one of the tasks I most enjoyed doing, as we had to investigate what were the pros and cons about North Korea joining the war (not to mention my love towards this subject). This was so we would be prepared to do a debate about this, and especially have something to show for it. I ended up winning the debates that took place and won, as I was very prepared and had investigated everything.

Sumative Preparation Guide

The was the most important task of the subject, I completed the task correctly and even outdid myself. We had to debate the subject in class, and I correctly passed the debate with flying moments. Yet when I uploaded the task there was an error in the system that did it so the file couldn't be seen. By the time I realized and re-uploaded, it was too late and they told me they couldn't change the task grade.
