I think someone just sprinkled them in the jar by using nutens law of gravity to distribute them throughout the glass.

By smelling the air around me I can determine that air is 78% nitrogen molecules, 21% oxygen molecules and 1% gases, so the beads are the same as air composition

Nitrogen is 78% oxygen is 21% and trace gases are 1 percent
