I study Social Sciences at UFPR. I was born in Italy but raised in Brazil. My hometown is Ponta Grossa, in Paraná State. I love things about Italy, food, History, art, language… I have been learning Italian since my childhood. I also started to learn English as a kid and recently I started to learn German. One of the most interesting experiences of my life was between 2016 and 2017 when I went to Croatia as an exchange student. I really liked it there, and felt at home within a month.  The courses at the university where interesting and I had the opportunity to travel to some countries in Europe, and to meet nice people. My hobbies are reading some literature, History or mythology books, listening to music, drawing and painting and sometimes cooking.

I do enjoy the English language. At school, I started to learn the basics, and when I went to university, I took a course for about two years and a half. After that, I continued to study on my own. When I was on my exchange semester in Croatia, I had the opportunity to use and practice my English. I intend to do a Masters or Specialisation course in Europe and for that, I want to improve my knowledge in English, especially in academic writing, and this is the reason why I took the Academic Writing course. I expect to get better at building sentences in English, connecting sentences, to be more “formal”.

The aim of it would be to understand our political system, for instance, how do the elections work and what are our political institutions. In addition, it would be helpful to understand the role of political actors, as politicians and citizens. Political Education would also bring more knowledge on important laws, as the constitution, where the student can learn about rights and duties.
