   2. Encrypt Data-     take measures to always have your businesses data  encrypted  
    3. Be Sure That Your Hardware Is Secured-         Not all hackers come through a computer system, sometimes people physically steal things, so make sure that your office computer is physically secure 
4. Embrace Security as Part of Your Company Culture - 
convey the message to your employees that security is very important 
5. Use Appropriate Security Programs- 
make sure that your security programs are all up to date, you can do this by updating your system whenever an update is available 
6. Make Sure Your Network is Under Lock and Key- 
It is bad to leave your WiFi unsecured because it is an open invitation for hackers to hack you 
7. Anti-Malware and Anti-Virus Programs are A Must- 
These programs help prepare for the future, and that is obviously very important, this helps anticipate threats 
8. Eliminate the Human Element by Educating Your Employees- 
This relates to number 4, because you ant your employees to make sure that they are not the problem and that their information is secure
9. Make Sure Your Data is Secure and Encrypted- 
Hackers are focused on creating chaos and stealing money, if your data is not secure then you are giving the hackers a gold mine of data which will lead to money being stolen 
10. Know When You Need to Hire Experts to Protect Your Business-
Enlisting outside help can decrease your chances of an attack, while it may cost money, a cyber attack would be way more costly.
