         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Mount Vesuvius</strong><br><br><br>Mount Vesuvius is a stratovolcano, found in Italy, 9 miles from Naples. It stands at 4, 190 feet high, and at its base is 30 miles wide. In 1944 it erupted, making it rhe only volcano in Europe to have erupted in the last century. Mount Vesuvius is famous for its destruction of Pompeii in 79 AD, when its eruption killed thousands of people and buried the city. &nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li>Magma rises through cracks or weaknesses in the Earth's crust.</li><li>Pressure builds up inside the Earth.</li><li>When this pressure is released, eg as a result of plate movement, magma explodes to the surface causing a volcanic eruption.</li><li>The lava from the eruption cools to form new crust.</li><li>Over time, after several eruptions, the rock builds up and a volcano forms.</li></ol><div><br></div>]]></description>
