<title>1984 is a dystopia by the English writer George Orwell, written in 1948 and my favorite book, which is more relevant now than ever, because it is a parody of the state and political system of the USSR.</title>

<title>The novel tells the story of Winston Smith and his degradation under the influence of the totalitarian state in which he lives. It is the most famous and most quoted dystopia in literature and ranks with Aldous Huxley&#39;s Brave New World and Ray Bradbury&#39;s Fahrenheit 451.</title>

<title>In 2009, the influential British newspaper &quot;Times&quot; declared the novel &quot;1984&quot; the most important book published in the last 60 years. There was a time when the novel &quot;1984&quot; was perceived as so revolutionary and seemed so politically dangerous that it was banned from some libraries in the United States, not to mention states with totalitarian regimes.</title>

<title>The novel describes a world dominated by a totalitarian regime in its highest form — a regime that recognized its totalitarian nature and set itself the goal of preserving itself forever. The whole world is divided into three giant blocs, which do not differ from each other in ideology, but wage a continuous war among themselves. Society in each of the blocs is divided into three classes: the Inner Party, the Outer Party and the proles (see the pyramid on the right). The ideology of the Party is based on the proposition that all societies are divided into a class in power, a class that aspires to power, and the proles, who are of no importance.</title>

<title>The only engine of the state is the fact of continuous war, only some illusory military achievements excite people&#39;s brains, only &quot;victory&quot; remains the only goal of a society transformed into a herd of sheep. Every five minutes of hatred, foaming at the mouth, they turn into beasts full of hatred for the whole world and all people. In this world, people don&#39;t see that they live in barracks and eat what can hardly be called normal food and believe that 2+2 equals 5.</title>

<title>When reading this novel, it is impossible not to see this stark resemblance to the terrorist country currently trying to destroy our nation. No matter how funny it is, but after the start of a full-scale war in Ukraine, this novel was banned in Russia. This novel is a must-read for every Ukrainian, every European, in order to understand and see the true face of our enemy.</title>
