I chose this picture because it shows the impact of a tsunami and the destruction it can cause. It also is a large area of land and how much can change after a tsunami occurs. In the picture it shows cars, buildings, boats, house possessions and electricity wires that have been swept away by the wave and left here. Cars, Houses, Trees, Buildings were washed away with the powerful waves that was the tsunami. Alot of whole towns were washed away, some people had lost everything. I chose this image cause is shows you how high the waves actually were. There were 10 sets of waves, each 10m high which eventally caught up to each other creating a huge wall of water which destroyed bulidings, homes and swept away everything in its path.

I chose this picture because it shows how people's houses have been destroyed and washed away. I shows the impact that this giant tsunami has had on Japan and many of it's citizens. I also chose this because the people don't seem to be scared or shocked anymore and are managing to live through the devastation that the tsunami has caused. However this picture also shows that they don't have anywhere to live or anything to eat and many people have to go looking for stuff to eat or places to sleep due to their lack of food and shelter.
