Reasoning behind the quotes.

No.1's reasoning is that you hold full control over your power and capability. You say what you can do. Just ask Jeff Bezos, everyone told him his business model wouldn't work, but look at him now.

No.2's reasoning, It reminds me that we are all ancestors of something, just as we are all the greatest and grandest of children of space dust. This also reminds me of one of his other quotes where he says, "Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there-on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam." To keep my ego in check.

No.3's reasoning. People don't appreciate that time is relevant to size. The Sun has aged a minute. We have aged years. I like this quote because we have to acknowledge are place in the grand cosmic scheme, but alas we have to just do what teens are best at and, "not care."

No.4's reasoning. We can't let time slip through our fingers, every year different actions are acceptable for different ages. Me, I can play video games all day on Saturdays. Can a 23 year old do that in his mom's basement? Nah.
