I don’t think it will help a beginner as much because the student needs to have some grasp of English.
| What’s good about it? | It enables the speaker to practice fluent and fluid speaking. He can play it back and hear where his pronunciation needs improvement. This is a very useful tool that enables the student to improve his communication.
| Possible disadvantages | The main disadvantage is that he is only listening to himself, so he may not know if he is mispronouncing something. For the reasons listed above.

Name of resource = Lingohack. http://www.bbc.co.uk/learningenglish/english/features/lingohack/ep-180725 Type of activity - listening to and understanding a video. What kind of learner is it for? The webpage actually says what type of learner it’s for - intermediate. What’s good about it? -	Images of the puffins (point of discussion) would likely be engaging for learners.-	Visual words appear while news story is being presented visually.-	Asks students to consider a question, before the video is played.Possible disadvantages -	Focus on the UK.-	Strong dialect that international students may not understand.Would you recommend it? Why/Why not? I would recommend it, but it would have to be part of a wider theme within a lesson, for example, a discussion on environmental issues.

There are so many possibilities to tailor a lesson according to students interests, levels and needs. And the lessons can be done online or be printed.
- Possible disadvantages: If you don't have a good internet, it might not work correctly in certain activities. And for some specific activities you must have Adobe Flash Player, otherwise it won't open
- Would you recommend it? Why/Why not? I recommend it for sure because it's the most complete website for practicing all skills.

There's no need to go through all the activities to reach the aim of the task.

I see no disadvantages as it's not compulsary to do every single exercise so that the task is meaningful. It's up to the students to do what they feel like doing.

I'd recommend it to those who want to improve their reading skills as it's not too demanding and can learn true facts from these articles.
Name of resource: engvid Type of activity: listening, reading What kind of learner is it for? Intermediate and advanced students What’s good about it? There are many subjects that you can learn more about watching videos of native speakers. The learners can improve their listening and learn some new vocabulary or practice grammar at the same time. Possible disadvantages: some videos are long and learners ca be demotivated. Would you recommend it? Yes! Why/Why not? It's a fantastic way of introducing learners to new vocabs and practice something they already know about grammar or expressions.

It is good because it teaches the second conditional, allows students to practice matching vocab in practice sentences, tests comprehension, and has them discuss the topic. Its disadvantages are that students will probably tire of the topic after doing just a few of the exercises, and it is for pretty advanced students. However, you could just use a few of the exercises and keep it varied. I would only recommend this resource to experienced teachers and advanced students.
