Geography

Owning a lot of hand can allow for more resources, more places to build industry, plays a role in economy, and allows for the bigger countries to assert dominance over smaller ones.

Population

Bigger population allows for more labor, consummation of resources, production of resources, more possible military, and faster development of the nation.

Economy

Having a lot of money and a reliable economy makes you be able to make more goods, buy more things, and means that you have a strong working population.

Military

Having a strong and large military makes you seem like a threat and makes it harder for other countries to overtake you and want to fight a battle with you.

Diplomacy

Having strong allies and relations will allow for help when needed.

Being able to create and sell your own goods will create a stronger economy and working population, while also lowering number of enemies since people will be buying from you.

The U.S. created many things in WWII. Inventions such as duct tape, synthetic rubber, the Jeep, and the atomic bomb were made to help the Allies in an overwhelming way. The U.S. also supplied millions of trucks, aircraft, artillery, and tanks to mulitple battlefields for their people and their allies. Because of all of this technology, the U.S. economy, which was already the largest in the world, doubled in size.

The United States believed in Democracy and Freedom. This contributed to their position as a world power because they joined the Allies fight against the Axis Powers who ran on Communism and Dictatorship. They did not support the idea of Hitlers' Holocaust and mass murder of the Jewish population, and fought for their lives to make them free again. Their democratic views is what helped stop the rise of communism, the Nazi Party, and dictatorship.

WWII created millions of civilian jobs and industrial-productivity increased by 96%. Factories were retooled to make goods, women were taking the mens jobs since men were fighting in the war, and unemployment dropped nearly 10%. WWII also led to a rise in wages for the working class. Since there was so much mass production going on, the U.S. position as a national trade partner heavily strengthened.

Fighting WWII in Asia and Europe allowed for the United States to grow and build more factories back at home, which in turn boosted their national identity and economy. This helped the U.S. get richer while also not losing civilians lives, factories, and their own land.
