This book is connects to everybody because we have all been caught doing something we were embarrassed of. Even being accused of something you did not do can be embarrassing. Marvin did not pick his nose but he had to prove to the whole school that he was not the only one with bad habits. This book has a moral lesson that everyone does or has done something they are not proud of.

This book goes against gender role stereotypes. Isabel can hit, throw, and kick harder then anybody and everybody is scared of her because she practices Bunjitsu. Isabel never hurts anyone though. Every time someone tries to pick a fight with Isabel she walks away to avoid it. But when Isabel is afraid of something she goes to her teacher. Once the teacher tells her its in your head so they should be afraid of you, her fears drifted away. This is a book full of magic, science, adventure and mystery. Zoey finds an injured magical animal and has to find out whats wrong with it. I would use this book to teach children that sometimes they have to take responsibility of the sick and vulnerable and help take care of them. This book is in Ramona's point of view. She is ready for kindergarten. But things do not go as she hoped. First she gets in trouble for playing with her classmates hair, then her crush rejects her. A sixth grader has a dream to save on toothpaste and become a millionaire. He wanted to make a whole gallon of toothpaste for the price he can pay for one tube at the store. By the time he is in eight grade he makes more than a gallon of toothpaste and makes a million dollars. This book shows children that when they have an idea, they should invest time into it. They should still be persistent even if nobody believes in them.
