After being led from site to site, I realized that Global Ties is a huge umbrella with many community chapters, national ties, and international alliances that are united in similar marketing strategies and that share extremely broad goals. The home web page is rather vague because of the organization's vast connections. In my brief research, it was difficult to pin down exactly what the organization does since the website is mostly a compilation of links to its members' websites. Originally founded in 1961, this nonprofit has a broad reach with few employees under its direct name and control. Global Ties has a direct connection to our federal government as it is a nonprofit partner of the US Department of State.
