Some people write for fun, or to entertain, but other people use writing as a sort of therapy. You can also write to inform or persuade. If an author was writing an informative piece (to inform), the structure might be more formal than if they were writing to calm down. It can also affect the genre of writing.

AN authors purpose can effect organization because they are trying to do something like persuading. If an other was trying to persuade, the word choice would be different and over exaggerated

☾☯I think people write, because it is somewhat therapeutic, or it is just another way to express themselves. I think most people who write, first of all find it enjoyable, that's probably the main reason why they write! I think an author's purpose effects its style of writing because, say if someone found it calming to write, they might write calm, smooth poems. Maybe someone who expresses their feelings through writing, would write more intensely say if they were mad, or sad. And someone that loves writing might write a happy story, possibly even funny!☯☽

One reason that people write is because they may want to get their feelings down on paper. People write in different formats for different types of writing. When somebody wants to write and argue their opinion, they'd write in an argumentative essay, but usually not in a poem. This s just one example.
