Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is a name that most of us has heard of. So, what did he do to be so widespreadly known? He had helped to end segregation. Segregation means separating one from another. Whites and blacks couldn't go to the same schools, drink from the same water fountain, or even go to the same bathrooms! His dream came true because the laws of segregation did disappear. Now, we can go to the same schools! His dream came true because of the bus boycott, speeches, marches, and a lot of effort. An example of segregation is that black people can't use the same water fountain as white people.

Dr. king's work finally paid off and now segregation should very well almost be gone.
