I believe we should be equipping students and learners with modern day skills to help with modern day jobs. While our education system has improved in a lot of ways, our children are not being taught the same. The gaps in knowledge between private school learners and public school leaves a lot to be desired. Now take a teacher from an English medium school previously known as Model C school this teacher is going to expect the students to know and understand what is being taught without having to put in more effort because all the resources are there and available to the student. She/He only has to put in minimal effort as long as the work is done.

Both of them are educators dealing with different characteristics in a classroom now imagine there is a mix between full able and some lacking students in the same classroom but because of the passion the educator shows towards what they are doing all the students will benefit from what is being taught regardless of whether disabilities are in the mix or not.

We can’t look pass that problem. Secondly, our schools are not equipped with modern day learning facilities and this puts our children a few years back on global educational growth. Teacher should be paid according to qualification and incentivised for good performance that is rated by a national rating system. The lack of furniture and resources in schools is reduculous. On the one side, there are functional, wealthy schools. On the other, which 85% of our students attend, are poorly funded, dysfunctional schools.
