A similarity between Rome and Greece is that they both grew olives and grapes. Greece grew olives and grapes because their terrain didn't support other crops and the type of climate was good for growing olives and grapes. Rome grew olives and grapes and made it into olive oil and wine. They also were connected to major trading centers. Greece was connected to the port of Piraeus and Rome was connected to the Silk Roads. A difference between Rome and Greece is that their trade differed. Greece relied more on maritime trade because of their rocky and mountainous terrain. Rome built roads for land trade.
