Technology.

Let’s start of with technology. To be honest, technology is how kids in todays age work. Everything revolves around technology, and honestly it makes things a lot easier for us. I feel like the older generation has a hard time accepting change in general so it’s hard for them to adapt to what’s new. With me personally, technology is where I make most of my money, promote my business, helps with marketing and networking, etc. The internet is very flawed but it also has its pros. I feel as though the older generation only looks at the cons and doesn’t see how the internet is actually a big help whether it’s to start a business, help with homework, personal reasons, or simply just for an outlet because there’s no one else to talk too.

Gender & Sexuality.

As far as gender sexuality I feel like that’s a whole other ball game. As we all know being different or liking the same gender is looked upon by some people. Speaking from personal experience, yes, it may be easier to come out in this day and age because you’ll have a hand full of people who accept you for who you are but you’ll also have that handful who just see’s it as being wrong. Not being able to be yourself and holding all that in could really take a toll on a person. I also feel as though females and guys like us who don’t switch our looks but also likes the same gender get off way easier vs females and guys who do change their looks. A lot of parents, given how they grew up, are not very accepting of their child liking the same gender. And I feel like it’s very degrading and it’s teaching your children that being themselves is not okay.

Money and Work.

I want to speak about money and work. A lots of adults and the media have this thought in their head that generation Z is a lazier generation. I have to disagree. Just because opportunities come around a lot more often and our work may be easier doesn’t mean we aren’t working just as hard, if not harder. I just feel like the adults and the media haven’t opened their minds to the thought that this generation is more in the business of working for themselves. Not everyone has to have a 9-5 job, not everyone has to work for someone else, and not everything has to be labor. For example, public figures. All they have to do is post pictures and promote clothing and that’s their job. Another example will be a gamer. The adults may see it as trying their brain, when in reality the game may be their job and they may get paid to play.

The elders are living in a time that has not progressed into something bigger and better. It’s hard to accept change when you’re only looking at it from one point of view, as well as not willing to learn or change.
