Another miserable day aboard a ship filled with regret. The stench of seasickness slapped me awake this morning and the sound of men losing their breakfast left me queasy.
I heard the roar of Smith and Wingfield arguing again. How dare Smith take up that unmannerly tone with a Gentleman, does he not know his place?! The thought of continuing this distressing journey is unbearable. What did I sign up for? What a fool I am!

I wake up to another day on this god forsaken ship, another day at sea and obeying orders. I look over at James, I almost throw up myself as I see boogers almost inches away from touching his tounge, I couldn't bear to see that happen so I quicky get up and look at where that horrible stentch I smelled first thing in the morning came from. Not to my suprise I find my destination quickly, this was much worse than seeing James snot go into his mouth. I make a face of disgust as I see some men throwing up overboard. Oh how I would wanna get out of this place quickly if I could.

Today was a bad day. I was so sick and tired. It smelled, but I know that God has something amazing planned for us. I heard the shouts of Captain Smith and Wingfield. I had to stop them from hurting each other. I told them that God wants us to bring Christianity to the New World. I had at least stopped them from arguing that day. Wingfield may not have much peace, but I am doing what I can to stop this boat from going overboard.

This is day 87 of being on this ship. i'm sick of samule waking me up every single morning so i can scoot over, its getting really annoying. and the smell is getting to me, its getting really stinky in here it always smells like rotton eggs and like somebody threw up, ate it and threw it up again. im also woken up by the roosters and chickens waking me up in the morning, and will and john are always arguing all the time. i dont like this voyage. the bed feels all hard a nailey, and i always see people looking at me all angry when i wake up like i did something wrong. im starting to get sea sick, and im going crazy. i barely even get water, or get fed. i just want to get off this stupid ship, please, please sombody save me from this heck of a death sentenced ship.

Another day with a ship filled with a bunch of lazy scum. I am awoken by the sound of constant whining and complaints. I wish I had never brought so many gentlemen on this ship they´re weak plain weak. They can barely handle a little bit of vomit, they have no idea what its like to face actual pain and adversity. Master Wingfield tried to convince the other gentlemen to turn back. But before he could I stopped him with the truth hard truth. He was so furious that he looked like he was about to fight with me but Reverend Hunt calmed him down. I thank Reverend Hunt for putting him in his rightful place. I don´t care about what the other gentlemen think if I wasn´t here they would all be dead.

Among the other days aboard the Susan Constant, today is the worst. If I admit, I am quite fearful but being on board this ship is frightning. I wake to the stench of urine and vomit from the gentlemen. I hate being the servant for Master Percy. I believe HE should be serving ME! The food here is unbelieveable. I hear Smith yelling across the ship on deck. I decide to take a peek above deck. I duck down immediately as Smith looks this way. I decide I have had enough "excitement" for the morning and go back to the straw bed.

I wake up to the most awful stench ever, it was a mix of vomit and pee. the snot covered little boy James has a booger the size of a candle 2 inches away from his mouth. I cant bear seeing the snot go into his mouth so i get up and use my slop bucket, after I get up from going to the bathroom I hear the fighting of Wingfield and captain john smith and of course wingfield and all of the gentlemen on board are wanting to turn back, they probably have never worked a single day in their life. curse this place i hope we can get out of this place soon.

I wake up and here people yelling. In my head I was thinking another bad day with a ship filled with obnoxious people. When I get to the main part of the ship, I see people just sitting around and and yelling at eachother, but Mr.Wingfeild was the one who was yelling really loud. He was yelling, "I don't want to be on this ship"! So I went up to him and said if you don't want to be on this ship than you can get off. Mr.Wingfeild did not like that I said that and got really angry he got so angry. Hunt had to come over there and stop him from getting anymore angry,so he did not throw any punches

Just a another day on this filthy ship.Captain is fighting with James meanwhile i'm down here cleaning up barf chicken and water. Caption comes down and says what are you doing make me some chicken so I go make him some chicken and I give it to him and he throws it over the side.Then he says I didn't want that kind of chicken. I say what kind do you want I don't want it now more so I go back to clean the the bottom of the ship while i'm cleaning I here a big roar I run to see what it is its a kraken and megalodon fighting and it hits the boat.

Another interesting day with sissy men. I get in an argument with another Gentleman who can't survive another second on this ship. I'm very annoyed because they CAN'T take another second on this ship and keep complaining. This exactly why I didn't want them to come on because I knew they wouldn't survive. And don't get me wrong I understand that were stuck right now, but every hour I hear about ONE THOUSAND complaints! I'm serious I should start counting or making a list putting marks on paper and every mark is one complaint. I guarantee that there will be well over 500 marks. If the Gentlemen don't get their act together I won't make it another day on this ship. I hear them chanting agreeing with the Gentleman who said he wanted to return to London. I smell almost throw up from Reverend Hunt, thinking about him makes me sick. I hope I will make it on this ship because of these Gentlemen, wish me luck.

When I woke up, we were finally moving after weeks. I was so happy because my soul almost would've came out of my body if Captain Newport didn't save me. As I was climbing the ladder to empty the slop bucket when I couldn't help but notice how astonishing the ocean was. After that, I saw Captain Newport come towards me and I immediately went back under the ship and hid in a corner. But then I realized he wasn't after me, he was after Captain John Smith. Master Wingfield had framed Captain John Smith and he was in chains.

My sole nearly left my body last night.
I felt it leaving my body about 11:00 last night. then I felt Reverend hunt come and put his hands on my head. And he prayed for me to get better. then i got up at 6:00 AM and felt the speed of the ship under me. We finally left England's water which felt good because I had gotten fever for about 3 weeks. Today was horrible, I was going to be arrested by Master Wingfield because I was charged with murder by Master Wingfield, I wanted to punch him so bad because I was really mad but something held me back then I almost got killed from Master Wingfield with a dagger. I almost got killed from Master Wingfield because I insulted him but I survived because Reverend Hunt grabbed Master Wingfield's arm after that then I look at Master Wingfield's face and he was pale and dropped his dagger and after I saw Master Wingfield talking to Reverend hunt but I couldn't hear them and I was let free.

So I went back back to camp to go to sleep. But I woke up in the middle of the night to hear yelling, arrows being shot, and hear ear piercing noises. And I instantly knew we were being attacked. I see James sitting up and Richard lies there, sprawled. I immediately yell out to James and Richard "Get under the mattress- both of you!" Then James said "I'm going to the ships!" "No!" I yelled. I then lunge at him and grab his ankle, "Get under the mattress now!" I ordered him. Richard groans. He is either dying or waking up. But then James wiggles out of my grasp and I lunge again, but hold him tighter. But James bit my hand and I yell "Yeeeow!" I snatch my hand back and James runs away. Now Richard is rubbing his eyes, so I grasp the edge of our mattress, dump Richard onto the ground. Then after all the noise was gone, me and Richard go out. And then we found out that James was dead.

Its been a coulple days since we have arrived in Virginia. I had the sudden urge to go into the forest and explore the wilderness. I walk around until sundown,then I return to camp. While I was at camp I heard a god awful sound it sounded like someone got possesed by a demon and let out a mighty screech. I hear the sound of barefeet running towards camp. A arrow speeds by my face but I was just fast enough to dodge it. I can´t see the enemy attackers because it´s so dark but I know they are there. People are getting wounded left and right I grab a musket and headshot one of the attackers. I turn around and see the ships I remeber that they have cannons I dash towards them, I load up a cannon and shoot. The cannon hits a tree knocking it over the enemy retreats. As I walk down the ship I find a kid my face turns grim I can tellby the expression on his face that he is dead i pick his body up and put it over my shoulder. Two other kids and a soldier come up to me , the soldier gives me a report that 17 are wounded 0 dead I tell him that one is dead I show him the body the expressions on the kids face goes from worried to sad. Im glad this god for saken battle was over.

Tuesday 1607, Today I woke up and got water. It had felt so good to not be on that disgusting ship. When I was was about to get ready for bed I hear a awful ear piercing yell I thought it was a deer being scared until an arrow came out of the forest almost hitting my face. I was playing card with Henry and when we fished I was heading back to my bed when all of the sudden I here a loud shriek and I see arrows fling threw the air and i feel a hard pain in my chest the pain is so had that I instantly fall to the ground I was laying there in pain and I here someone had gotten on a ship and had fired the cannons then the arrows had stopped flying in the air and then Saumuel and Richard come and shout here a wounded man the 2 person come and carring me to the ships and the last thing I see is James body

I was about to go to bed but then there was arrows where flying throw my tent! So I tried to wake up James but he bit me! I told him that there where native American out side of the tent. James ran to the ship because he thought it was safe. Then there was a bang!!!!! It was a canon from the ship, the native Americans where gone. So we went out side and one guy side 15 people were wounded. But Captain Gosnold side this one is died and it was james.

I woke up with arrows flying near my head,
Richard was snoozing away still. I started shaking him and he finally woke up i gestured to him to hide under the mattress
and i quickly lifted up the mattress and put it on top of us and we waited... after 20 minutes the noises stop and people started coming with torches seeing if people were ok and 17 wounded and sadly we lost james because he got shot twice in the body

today I woke up and was told to go get some water for the crops. It feels so nice to be back on land, we had already built a chapel for reverend hunt and Jamestown was turning out pretty well. When I was getting ready for bed I heard the most god awful ear piercing scream come from the forest at first I thought it was a deer being killed by a wolf but then an arrow came twanging by my face and my natural instinct was to get under the mattress in our tent but then I saw Richard looking like he was shot by an arrow. James tried to leave the tent but I snatched his ankle and pulled him back he then yelled at me "Im going to run to the ship" he then slipped out of my grasp and in the blink of an eye he was gone. I had other worries now I had to protect Richard so I shoved him under the mattress and prayed that an arrow wouldn't pierce through the mattress. I felt an arrow hit our mattress and it looked like Richard was shot so I asked if he was okay but... I heard nothing I was sad until I heard him say the dumbest response to that question he said"i think so". I then heard a cannon hit a tree and heard the footsteps of the attackers retreating. I told Richard that we can get out of the mattress now and once we got out we saw Abrams body with an arrow in it, we then heard a search crew looking for wounded people so we told them he was there but we also saw captain Golsnod running back from the ship with something in his hands, I couldn't tell what it is but as he got closer it was clear what it was, it was james's dead body.

James wanted to get to the ships he started to run out of the tent, I tried to hold back James but he wouldn't listen. James had bit me and ran out of the tent. Richard and I were hiding under our mattress, I felt an arrow strike on top of our mattress, I didn't get hit. I asked Richard if he got hit, it took him a while to process my question, after moving a while he decided he didn't get hit. After laying down under the mattress for what seemed like HOURS, someone finally got into control of the ship and said we were safe. Richard and I weren't wounded. We went to the top of the ship. A man commanded a group of men to find out if there were any bodies around the ship. They looked around for a bit, Abram lie there wounded. We clarified that Abram was wounded, and continued searching, then we found out poor James died.

Richard, asleep snoring like no body is there. I already know James was still awake, no one can go to sleep that easily with that much energy. I would have given an effort to say good night but my sleepiness got ahold of me and I decide to shut my eyes. Something had disturbed my sleep, a shriek that like a demons fills the air. Paranoia fills my body, Another cry that rings your ears and might even make your ears bleed then appears. I sit straight up and darkness surrondes me and covers my eyes. James had also been disturbed as he was sat up too, but Richard lie there without a care in the world. The fear grows in my body, it's painful. Is he shot? Is he dead? Is he okay? My mind asks myself. "Get under the mattress - Both of you!" I yell, hoping they would obey. "I'm going to the ships!" James responds and crawls towards the tent flap. "No!" I shout, grabbing his ankle with force and yanking him back. "Get under the mattress now!" I command, Richard groans. He either woke from his sleep or is dying. Distracted, James wriggles out of my grasp and heads to the tent opening again, I grab him again but this time with a stronger grip. He turns to me and sinks his teeth deep into the flesh in my arm. I scream out in pain, I grab my hand back and in a snap of a finger James is gone. An arrow flies past my ear and I then notice Richard is woken from his sleep. I move quickly and dump Richard on the ground then covering him with the mattress, my blood is pumping and my veins are almost visible. I'm filled with fear and guilt for letting James go. My brain goes crazy arguing with its self if it's going to protect me and Richard. I except fate and am ready to feel the sharp pain of an arrow go thru my chest. In relief I hear the sound of muskets firing. kill them, I think.It happens quickly and I feel the impact of an arrow hitting our mattress, I look at Richard and start asking if he was hurt or not, luckily he wasn't dammaged. I then hear the sound of a cannonball hitting the tree, it all go silent. I feel sweaty and quickly decide its safe to come out of the matress. We seem men running around with torches "Is anyone hurt?" Abraham was there lying with a arrow to his side" I quickly shout out, "Here, A man is wounded!" They quickly help him to safety. "James..he went to the ships.." I tell Richard. we make our way to the riverbanks and see Captian Gosmold with his arms outstretched, "There's 17 wounded, no one dead" I finally see the figure that lies in his arms, It is James. I looked out of the tent to see the sun setting and the sky beginning to darken. The light in the sky was fading. I tucked my head back in the tent to see the straw bed, with Richard and James in it. Richard was fast asleep. James was moving around, so I could tell he was still awake. I went to get on the bed as well, but I suddenly heard a shriek like all the demons from hell where coming. Almost immediately after that thought passed my head, an arrow, twanged past my ear, almost striking me. Once I saw James getting up out of the bed, I jumped up, grabbed his ankle, and yanked him to get him under the mattress. Arrows twanged, one ripping the tent cloth. The cannon shot, and I heard the crash of a cannon ball hit the grass. James bit into my ankle as I tugged harder to get him. Pain exploded into my leg as his teeth sunk into my flesh. James left the tent, fleeing to the ship while arrows flew. Suddenly arrows stopped twanging. Richard and I went outside. I heard a man say "Seventeen are injured, but no one is dead!" I ran to go check on James. Captain Gosnold came off the ship with a lump in his arms. "No." He said. "This one is dead. Shock overcame me as I heard those words. The man came over with a torch, and with the light, I could see that the lump in his arms, was James.

It was a typical day, all until I was relieving
myself in the woods as I heard a racket not too far away. I called out but nobody responded. It was very bizarre but I ignored it and carried on with what I was doing. As I was going to sleep, I heard something that sounded like guns or arrows. I was about to try to go to sleep again, but as I did, an arrow strikes past my face. My first thought was to cover myself with the ragged mattress I had to sleep on, I also woke up Richard and dragged him under the mattress. I was so worried that an arrow or bullet would shoot through the mattress, but when it did we felt nothing. Once that petrifying war ended, we heard many men yelling and looking for people who were injured. They found many people, but one of those people were Abram. As if that news wasn't horrible enough, I got some of the most sickening news I've ever heard, James had been shot and he didn't survive.

One minute I am sleeping the next minute someone is trying to pull me out of bed. As I am waking up I hear noises out side and I have no idea what is going on,then I hear an arrow being shot on to the mattress me and Samuel were in. My heart was pounding so hard that I cant hear Samuel asking if I am okay. eventually I answered "yes I am not hurt" Samuel cared a lot about me and James. Specking of where is James, I asked myself I wanted to scream and run but I was frozen. I heard people yelling out "Is everyone okay you can come out now" Said a worker that helped the camp get wood for the fire. Once we got out the worker said there was 10 wounded and no one killed. I woke up on the ship to a horrible stench of what smelled like urine,vomit,and chicken dung.The past days here have been so horrible and boring.The only thing that we eat is gross slop,it's been so boring here I am not sure what to do anymore.There are many complaints coming from the people aboard this ship,some are even rallying together to leave.Till we get off this ship,I expect to lay here in silence and wait.-James
