         <description><![CDATA[<div>Effective writing involves text structure, sentence structure and grammar, vocabulary, spelling, punctuation and handwriting legibility.&nbsp;<br><br>I have selected 3 different assessment methods to help me find out which aspect of writing does Winnie require support, what is the cause of the challenge and to determine her&nbsp; level of competence in that area of challenge.<br><br>Based on the results of the assessment, I will design a literacy plan for Winnie to support her learning.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Assessment 1: Writing Analysis Tool (Teacher-Designed Tasks and Tests)</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Writing is a complex process as it integrates various aspects of language and literacy. Mackenzie and Scull (2016, p.35) highlights that effective teaching of writing needs adults to "focus on the content and process of writing, developing students’ control over both the authorial (text structure, sentence structure and vocabulary) and editorial dimensions (spelling, punctuation and handwriting) of writing". Analysing the work samples using the "Writing Analysis Tool" to identify focus area for teaching (Mackenzie &amp; Scull, 2016) allows teachers to design strategies that would effectively support children in a specific area.<br><br>I have collected Winnie's  writing work done in school Work samples collected are from January, April, July and September, so that growth or change, strength and weakness and development of performance can be observed over time for consistency (Mueller, 2018).</div>]]></description>
