Often, if you see a person with similar style to you, you are interested in them, making my audience more willing to actually ready about her. Also the stereotypical colour scheme that i have used on my cover and my double page spread (red, black and white) is also very relatable as that is the retro staple to any indie-rock/alternative fan. This colour scheme is heavily inspired by other popular magazines of a similar genre such as Q and Kerrang!, furthering my assurance that this scheme is very popular.Also in the masthead I have addressed an issue that a lot of younger people are starting to think about now a days, especially at the fragile teen age. I chose to leave out the large red text and instead opt for more basic usage such as in the label 'features' and the numbers of the pages. I did this because the contents page did have quite a bit of writing on and i did not want this to be overwhelming to my audience, therefor toning down the red would make it more basic and readable for someone.In this I also used someone very casually posed and in colour. This is a way to not overwhelm the page but to add a pop of colour, other than the red, that I found the magazine needed. I also decided that I wanted the dominant image on the cover to be the only black and white image with a white background while the other images were in colour on a stone grey background to contrast. This certainly helps when trying to attract and address my audience as this is something that they can relate to as if they were in to this style they would get a sort of enjoyment out of looking at something so relatable.
