Also I will be helping out with bigger costume pieces on the costume teams. I am happy with the production teams I am on but at the same time I am worried mainly by makeup because I will halve to do 12 makeups in a short period of time before the panto as people will need to do hairs and costumes before everyone goes on stage. I am still excited to start working on the sets for our script (Cinderella), I have a lot of ideas I want to run over with the group and see what they think.

From reading threw the script  I found the prince character to be very boring and not much of an exciting character from this I have decided I want to add a funny side to my character to give him a more memorable. One of the more obvious struggles with performing this role is being the opposite gender as I haven’t done anything like that before, so tonight I am going to do a lot of research in to playing the opposite gender in panto and see how previous performers alter the voice and posture to show clearly I am playing the opposite sex. Today we also decide3d on our song for the opening number of the performance, we have decided on the greatest show from the greatest showman, I have been chosen to be one of the singers for this opening number along with two other people, I am very nervous about this as I have never sang in front of people before.

after this we began working on the choreography for our opening number to the greatest show, we didn't have a lot of time in this class so we didn't get very much dine on it but at least we made a start when. 
we switched to peters class we made a start on our script (Cinderella) we got in to a group and all sat down and tried to work out who is where in the prologue we decided it would be nice if the people who don't have big parts in the play could act out whats happening and the people who are on stage more are going to start back stage and read the lines. we aren't thinking about using masks for the prologue so we don't give away our real characters in the play and to stop the kids getting confused.

we decided we needed to break down all the leading weeks up to the panto down and decide what we will be doing in this time so we get through everything and are fully prepared for the panto.
when we began rehearsing today we ran the prologue and seen that it was quite confusing for the audience and a bit messy and it could be complected for getting in to costumes so we might change it. after this we ran scenes 1 ,2,3 and started 4 I was in scene 2 playing my part as the price I tried out a different way of playing the prince today, I played him and a modern day thug and I thought this did work well and made my character very funny, but I wasn't 100% happy with it so I might try do more research to find other ideas to make my character more likable and charming without being to annoying. I also helped out with scene 3 as Aileen was absent so i played Daisy, one of the villagers.

after this we began dance rehearsals on the greatest showman. from what we done today I am liking the dance a bit better than before i feel like it is beginning to take shape but it is still very messy with peoples timing. we split up the vocals in too 3 parts Meghan is first then Abbi the then me we are tying to cut the song to last around 3 minutes. we all decided as a class we will practice the dance every morning to try rehearse it as a class to work on timing and coordination.
In peters class today we ran through half of scene 4, I wasn't in this scene, after this we played a game, this game was a way for up to play around with improvisation, In this game for the first round i was a house owner hosting a party and i had to guess who the party guests where by asking them question and they had to think on the spot how the character that peter had asked them to play would respond, I really really enjoyed this exercise I preferred being a party guest as i found it fun to act out a character and have people guess who I was. when it was my go to play a character I had to play spider man.

After this we watched a video of shake spears 12th night we talked about Shakespeare different types of techniques such as using comedy to break down the seriousness in the play to keep it appealing to watch as to much tragedy can get very hard to keep interested as it gets very hard to watch.
after this we had a meeting with the music department talking about what they will be doing and where they can fit in some of there song ideas and original songs.we also discussed ideas for entrance music for certain characters and different types of music for scene change.
after the meeting to finish the day with peter doing a trust exercise by falling in to each others arms.      once we came back from lunch we played a game with violet it was called ninja the object of the game is you have one movement to try and hit the appoints hand beside you and the have one movement to avoid it. the reason for playing this games was to show us the alertness we need to have of other peoples movements around us while we are on stage so no one bumps in to each other. I found this exercise very fun although I think it was very time consuming and we could have spent the time rehearsing. 
After this we split up in to our production groups, as I am in sets we had to go and cheak the supplies and see what we need and what we have to work with, when we began looking there was nothing salvageable all the supplies had been badly misused ans everything was unusable. after this we set down as a group and discussed what we need to do and get and who is designing what Meghan had a fully drawn idea for the palace and village and we where very happy with it and after this I began working on the forest scene.

the price is a young boy age 20, he is looking for his future wife as he is royalty the protocol says he must be married before the age of 21. his mother queen prudence and father ....... are trying to arrange a ball  as they attempted to marry him off to one princesses though his mother prudence thinks none of them are suitable for prince charming, so they decide to arrange a ball for the prince to meet a suitable maiden to marry.

the price is a happy individual he appreciates the small things and settles for less than his mother would like him to he is slightly stupid and slow and this is clearly seen in his everyday facial expressions. the prince easily catches feelings and is slightly cocky with knowing that all the women in the kingdom fall at his feet and he finds comfort in knowing he has this advantage that everyone wants him, but when he finally meets a girl in the forest by the name of Ella he cant help but fall for her.

dress style: i dress in the typical price style with the white ruffled shirt black suit tight pants knee high boots and a red jacket with gold patterns, although i wore it in an untucked untidy way to show how i was young and immature.

the day running threw act 1 everybody had their full costumes in of the panto and got ready to perform for our teacher who is off on maternity leave and her daughter they came in to see our progress perform in front of a child to see if we could keep her attention and also see if she found it funny there where some parts we where happy with and others we need to work on such as the goose scene and also the wedding scene as they didn't get the reactions we wanted. from my feedback i was told i need to work on trying to make my voice even deeper as it wasn't clear i was meant to be playing a man and also to try not to fidget as much we need to work on the dance timing and also trying to get everyone off script and to sing the greatest show today was very helpful for everyone especially me because i now what to change for my character to make him better for the kids i am going to try and make im more funny by adding in extra lines to show of my cocky behavior such as "you seemed on the sets trying to make good head way on the painting. we also tried to tidy up all the dances to make them run soother. also we got the final draft of the poster. i was really happy with the slipper scene as we made it very funny and it really is a big part in the play and now it stands out as that. we also added in a ghost scene with the evil sisters it can be made very funny although it rehearsal with Gilda our dance teacher. the panto is really starting to take shape everyone is almost ready and it is really starting to look good the songs and dances look better and people feel more comfortable in their roles i am very happy with how today went. although the bibity bobbity boo scene is awful so i have offered to stay with jack to help him work on it for the show we also decided did the second run through with the music department every time we do it we are seeing clear improvements especially with the songs unfortunately my throat has swollen and my asthma is really badly playing up so i am struggling singing the song but i am doing my best i am going to take it easy and try sort out my throat before the show but because our sets are all fully finished we where also see it all look at its best. i am very happy with our progress in the last few days you can really see a huge improvement in everyone energy towards the panto as now we really feel like its coming together. i really need to put more energy into my performance although it is hard with my throat but i really want to give this performance my all as we all worked so hard to get here and everything class in newry to come down and give us feedback, i got to do a makeup run to practice all the drag makeups and others so i could see how much time it would take as i am doing all the makeups myself and everyone is required to to makeups, the ones that took the longest where the ugly step sister and the fairy godmother as i have to do an drag look on these people, i was happy with the run today it went mostly well and a girl in the newry class called colleen was very helpful with getting everyone ready and keeping everything on track for us she has offered to come in and help us with the where all so nervous i was really stressed trying to get everyone's makeups done in time to go on stage and hairs it was really stressful but i was really happy with all the final outcomes i am very pleased with all my work, when performing we had a miss hap with the sets but we played it off well as if it was a part of the panto i was very happy withe all the performances the greatest show opener really came together although it needs to be even louder tomorrow. the songs with Genevieve and shoop shoop went really well and all the dances went well with minimal mistakes i was very happy with the first show although i really need to bring my energy up even more and try slow down i thought i spoke slightly to fast for the kids at some parts and need to make sure i am keeping my strong male accent. the comedy village scene with hayley really looked well and was very funny when it came time to do it. .was very happy with the duet between me and Genevieve i was very happy with how we pulled the song together with the music department and it all really was performed well.
.i really liked how we all worked together on the last couple of days to try and pull all the loose ends together to make all the choreography on time and all the singing to be loud 
.i was really happy with the village scene with me and Hayley i believe i really showed off my ability to play different characters and genders i was very happy with the performance
.I was also very pleased with all of my makeups for the characters i really feel they all fit their characters profiles and i was very proud of my work in the end after all the hard work to get everyone ready i was very proud of my work.

3 Improvements
. if i was to do it again i would rather play a different character as i feel i couldn't really come to terms with how to play the prince as i feel i could be more free with playing a different character
. if i was to do it again i would like to pick a more comical script i personally found this script very boring as we all struggled to add comedy and to act out this play.
.if i was to do this again i would love to try get the equipment for the sets earlier so me would have made i more realistic and added in more detail.
