It was extremely frustrating to see how all of the men were kind of creating an intervention for David, yet nothing really got through to him. This is a hope that we all have, but hopefully we all know that it is not the case, at all. The way to solve racism isn't to completely ignore it, but to recognize it, and shape our understanding around others experiences.

- There was a clear double standard when David was scolded for using "you" to describe race, but Victor continued to refer to "you white folk" 
- If race is disconnected from ethnicity, can't a black person be, for example, German? If so, why can't people of any race be "American"?

I never really thought about that. SO much of society is white and since I'm white, I never really acknowledged that.
