Role – Is to be a new teacher to help Mrs. Farmer.

Audience – You will need to convince Mr. Forsberg for our class.

Situation – The challenge is making sure we have enough iPads for all the students to use without waiting too long.

Purpose – Create a drawing labeling the number of to iPads we need. You need to print your name and use at least 5 colors.

Standards for success – Mr. Forsberg will meet with the class and review your worksheet.

DOK1 – Drawing with 5 colors and a number

DOK2 – Drawing details with explanation

DOK3-4 – Drawing with explanation and persuasive to Mr. Forsberg

What was most difficult was coming up with a math task that was a real world problem and age appropriate for a kindergarten class. Something that a 5 year old could produce something math related in writing - not just verbally. What was easy was the reading and the overall concept. I see the value in this type of activity because you can gear it toward what appeals to their hobbies and interests.
