But just as everyone was settling in there was a outbreak of slimes that had landed in their ships to take over earth. 
Humans and slimes battled for hours and days on end but because of world war 3 the humans were out of resources and they had to give in to the slimes. The slimes then took over the world making every human stay in doors as the slimes do routine checks.
