What I really loved reading about was her mother. She treats patients in the most dire situations. Caring for them as if they are her family. Kind of reminds me of the doctor played by Helena Bonham Carter in Suffragette. I found great similarities between them and I could see the solidarity and unity between the women flourish beautifully. Meena

I found this part really interesting because it shows how brave and honest the father is. He stands up against corruption even though he is in a difficult situation. I liked how it showed his strong values despite the risk he was taking.

Yes, there was a part at the beginning that the author said I can watch movies for 10 times that I have already seen. I can relate to this part because I also have the habit of watching movies or films that I have already seen and do not get bored of them. I definitely think my technique would be to start small. In a community of people you trust. Share the word with them, try to make them understand why resistance is important, then slowly expand. Just like in the movie suffragette and just like Prophet muhammad approached his Da'wa to islam.

One part of the story that I can personally relate to is the writer's fear about being trapped at home because of the Taliban’s rules. As an Afghan girl, I deeply understand the fear that the narrator describes. Like her I have seen how the Taliban’s rules take away our freedom, forcing us to stay inside and stopping us from going to school or university. It feels like we are trapped unable to live the lives we dream of. It scares me to imagine a future where I have no freedom to make my own choices. Many Afghan girls like me want to study, work, and choose our own path but every day we face restrictions that make those dreams harder to reach. I hope one day we can all live freely, without fear.

The part I loved the most was when Nafisa's mother did her best to help female patients in her home. It shows her determination and interest in her field, although the situation was truly challenging for her to pursue her job. All she wanted in her life was to ensure she was helping Afghan females in that situation.

The part I enjoyed the most was where the family sits in the garden in Peshawar, talking and enjoying the sunset. I enjoyed this part because in this part the narrator enjoys peace with her family, again experiencing a normal life. I felt a sense of relief myself. After reading the constant fear and suffering the family went through, I was felt so discomfort and sad for them, and this scene made me feel better and felt happiness for them.

Not exactly relatable to me, but to my family's womenfolk. They also lived in those times of oppression, and a lot of the stories they tell me of those times are similar to this story. Such as having to travel to Pakistan for easily treatable diseases due to Taliban banning female doctors.

The part that I love the most was when the author's mother talked with her friend to open a clinic for the sick women under the Taliban regime. That part stood out to me because it shows humanity, determination, and a sense of responsibility that she had toward her community. Despite knowing the consequences of opening a clandestine doctor's office under the Taliban regime, she chose to help sick women who came to her from near and far.

I can relate to this part. I have experienced times where I had to study or push myself to learn something on my own, but not during the Taliban’s regime or another regime where we were not allowed to study. But at times, for example during COVID-19, when all schools, universities, every place was closed, I experienced this. I had to study on my own, study different school books so I wouldn’t forget the lessons or so I’d be prepared when school reopened after quarantine.

Will there be any chance I can find a job based on my field in Afghanistan?
