Apparently, Germans like to separate and group children according to their abilities and thus have 3 main schools: Hauptschule, Realschule and Gymnasium. Some states have a single school for all but the final graduation system is the same. You can change between the different schools. 
Gymnasium leads straight to university, the other schools lead to vocational schools.
In Sweden students are not separated. All kids go to the same school unti  they are 16 and then they separate.
The subjects are quite identical.
Sweden didn't go through a lockdown which Germany did. Unfortunately I can’t write too much about the other colleagues’ school systems as I have only found out a few basics about the Finnish and Swedish school systems. 
I hope we’ll get the chance to get into that topic again and exchange more information.

Today I have learned quite a bit about the Guadeloupian Carnival. 
When we were driving west, we got into a long traffic jam which was caused by some young people dressed in costumes who stopped the cars and had them pay to get through.
Later when we were driving through Basse Terre all the sudden the road was blocked by a parade of people making a lot of noise. They either were naturally black or painted black and had sticks in their hands. On side of the road there were people watching the parade and filming it. When we got out of the car and did like the others, one man came to me and talked to me very fast in French. When I didn’t understand him and didn’t do anything, he hit me with the stick in my face and on my hands. It was quite scary! It turned out he wanted money like the guys before. So we gave him a few euros and were relieved when he left.
What an special experience!

Talking about the different educational systems is one of the pending conversations with colleagues. I think almost all of them belong to the primary education sector. 
I belong to the adult education sector, some of our students are primary and secondary school teachers who want to teach their subject in public bilingual schools and for that they need the certification of the Official Language School. 

For this reason, we are trainers of trainers, the teachers come to our centres not only to acquire a linguistic competence but also to acquire an innovative methodology.

It is very difficult for my school to find partners to develop projects.

Perhaps a project could be carried out between teachers who belong to different sectors but share the same idea: leftover?

Honestly, I don't really know what to write to the question that has been asked. I talked lots with the others of our group, however, I did not talk about my own school and I did not ask anyone about his or her school. Sorry for that.
Today my partner and I discovered some more places on Grande-Terre. I can't stop being fascinated by the nature here: the hills,the lush, green valleys, sugar-cane plantations, the white sandy beaches, waves crashing over the coral reefs, and the impressive coast line of high cliffs. There was a hermit-crab high up on the cliffs, and I wondered what on earth it might be doing far away from the sea? How had it got there?
I learned that cats love coconut sorbet ;) There was a woman selling her traditionally home made sorbet and she generously shared some of it with some straying cats. 
Moreover, we had a walk over the cemetary  that is situated on a hill at Morne-à-l'Eau. Most of the tombs are covered with black and white tiles, some show photos of the deceased, some have plastic flowers. The tombs look like little houses, some have steps, and sometimes relatives leave buckets and brushes to clean the gravesite. Is it true that the condition of cemetaries and graves, the way people treat their dead reflects the state of a society?

Like Anke I can’t say very much about the other schoolsystems. Maybe it would be nice to have some time to talk about that in different groups, that are changing. Maybe it’s also possible to talk about partner schools to find in Guadeloupe or in an other participent countries.

Every country has something specific, despite the fact that it is all the same- teaching and learning process.
I have always been interested to learn about many tiny details of the schools, like testing system, missed lessons, misbihavoiur, etc.
Finnish schools are widely known for being one of the best. Interesting to know the opinions of the teachers themselves.
French schools also have slight differences from Latvian schools as I learned from the course booklet detailed info and discussions.

Finnish school system. I think It is closest to Swedish school system. In Finland children go to pre-school when they are 6 years old for a year. There they learn letters and numbers and school skills, but they do not have to learn to read yet. Real school starts at age of seven. Primary school is classes 1-6. Ages 7-12. Junior secondary from age 13-15. Classes 7-9. According to a new law, we have to provide a study place for all pupils after that till they are 28 years old. It can be vocational school or High School or preparatory class for Hogh school. I work in a school from classes 1-9. My workplace is in primary school side as a special exucation teacher. I am working with immigrant children who just arrive Finland as a beginners class teacher. This year I have students from age 7-11 and different nationalities. I teach children all school topics during their first school year in Finland. After that children go to normal Finnish classes. I do a lot of co-operation with other teachers and the future classes of the children. In general in Finnish school students participation in decision making is important. We want to hear what they think. We also integrate more and more children with learning difficulties to normal classes. It can be a challenge because these children need more assistance and help.
