Q1- my performance during CE- to me, im not performing well in clinical session (oral) because of too nervous let me to blank situation. however the rest session , i feel satisfied with my answer. however i did not know how the examiner thinks about my answer is it satisfying them or not. about the mcq, it is really too tricking. no much time to cover all the knowledge that we learn since from 1 year. the most important thing is that, not all we read we able to memorize it. too many knowledge can lead us to some confusion
Q2- to pass this intensive program, I will give more focus on what i work on. try to express like i'm in the real job situation. i also need to revise back on what i had learn by reading to refresh my memory. i also will work on to get more better relationship with expert to improve my skills. i do the treatment by my own hands and not just observing that can give better confidence and improve memorization.

Q3- my expectation during this 1 month intensive program is that i would able to use my knowledge to be practiced. when i observe the patient, i was able to lists all the problems that the patient might having and directly lead to what i'm suppose to do especially for stabilizing and treat the patient. when a disease is being rule in, i able to directly know the aetiology, the common clinical signs and the type of medication being used . and definitely I would expect to reach the standard qualification as a vet and pass this program.

What went wrong during oral session, I got confused with the question where I was given list of questions but with limited time to think as I thought I was supposed to provide answer promptly without much time. WhenI gave the wrong answers, I panicked and got lost.

Q1.
I performed quite bad especially on Para and Clinical session. I was too nervous, blank and I could'nt even answer every questions very well. The act of pulling was very strong. I was not confident at all with my answer/s which at the end I chose to keep quiet and let the examiner to talk and asked me questions.

Q2.
Improve on:
1. Confidence to speak and explain
2. Knowledge
3. Handling myself not to get too nervous and blank anymore
4. Application of knowledge

Q3.
My expectation during this 1 month Intensive Training. Firstly, of course, self improvement. No more giving excuses and blaming nervous, blank and what not. I have to be able to answer question very well, describe things efficiently etc. And yea, my soft skill and the application of knowledge in real working situation.

If I can score my own performance during CE, out of 10, i would rate myself 2/10 :(
The main problem was-lack of confidence, thus it affected my performance in delivering the knowledge and being confident in front up examiner. The worst thing happened when I couldn't recall anything and ended up saying 'i'm not sure' and 'I don;t know'.
I'm not being organized, my answer wasnt well explained, and I couldnt convince the examiner when I answered their questions.
Above all, the worst feeling after that was being frustrated when you know you can do even better.
And I actually have the expectation on myself to fail the examination.
I know CE is really important, and the fact that i wasn;t able to perform well make me feel worse.
I'm here today with you guys, haha, lets do better and achieve our goals together. Keep the positive thinking and attitude!

how did i perform during ce ??
i try my best for mcq..however for oral especially during paraclinical..i felt really bad..its not i dont know the question, im too nervous compared clinical part + im the last person, i keep repeating that part though i know its wrong for me to answer like that...so i felt really bad to answer the wrong answer though i know it that im in wrong position..
in clinical part, im still nervous..but im not very good to that area related to horse especially..may be i have to work more on speaking,explaining myself and large animal also..

q2 what we need to improve
i have to improve on way of expressing myself so that everything go smoothly on the conversation; my skills also in a way everything manage and well organize and also how am i going to manage my nervousness without spitting out the wrong thing in a way i acknowledge that??

Q1:I think during my ce i'm so nervous and panic when i the examiner ask the question. I'm cannot think the answer the question and blank. The others problem maybe im not speaking well and clear. Im confuse, lack confident, and not answer the question well.

Q2: I think need more skill on small animal practice and need improve my confident during presentation especially for answer and question time to improve my communication skill.
Hopefully, in 1 month intensive training can help me to improve all my weakness. I try my best to be serious person.

Q3: I become more confident, can answer and speak well, gain more knowledge and skill and lastly become independent person.

Q1. i think my performance was not good, and sometimes i did not know what the examiner really want from me and i got confused and when the examiner told me the answer, actually i know those things but it did not come out from my mouth. During the clinical session I got too nervous and panic that i can not answer well most of the question.

Q2. maybe I need to improve on my skills on how to handle cases and I need to gain more confidence and knowledge on how to face problems in the future.

Q3. I can prepare myself to handle different cases and problems and after I month of this training, i become more confidence and can work independently.

Dear students, at the end of this intensive training period, we expect all of you to able to apply veterinary knowledge in various situations, be it in SA clinic, farms, zoos, etc. Just remember the core principles of disease diagnosis remain the same in any situation: History (animal, feed, housing, etc), clinical signs (observations, physical examination), differential diagnosis, clinical & laboratory diagnostic workout, treatment, assess & monitor progress of patient(s).

Dear students,
For your information, I am not the coordinator for this intensive training...emphasis on INTENSIVE, Dr Nur Hardy is the coordinator. I am just stepping in this week in his absence. Thus, Dr Hardy will be the go-to person from next week onwards.
The schedule has been discussed and agreed upon by PM Dr Mokhtar, Dr Hardy and your supervisors. If you like to have any changes, discuss when the majority is around, e.g. during presentation sessions, as I do not have the autonomy to overall everyone's decisions.
