Something I was intrigued by is that families bribe government officials to change the birth dates of young girls so they can marry. I think it is so interesting that so many young women are forced to marry because of financial reasons. I also thought it was interesting that in the UNICEF photo when talking about the light on her face vs. the dark, there is such a small amount of light. Showing that arranged marriage overpowers the opportunity for education.

I found the connection between the climate crisis and child marriage very interesting. I had not thought of that connection before.
