The National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City is filled with history about many different societies that once thrived in Mexico. Learning about different cultures who never interacted yet shared so much history which was almost erased by colonization enriches our knowledge in humanities. Here one can learn about pre-hispanic cultures such as the Teotihuacan, Mayas, Toltecas and Mexicas. In addition to these they have preserved a lot of information from cultures further south of Mexico in Oaxaca and even El Salvador.

Despite many American teachings, the natives were not an underdeveloped society. Tenochtitlan for example was a city built on a lake that the natives managed to create successfully. One of the primary reasons these societies were overturned was due to the spread of illnesses and the lies the conquerors came to spread.
