Florida+ Texas+ CA.
GW (Arizona): importance of harmonized protocols

Lends a degree of organization to the group.

Customers can have confidence that protocols are nationwide.

GV (CA):

Citrus National protocols standards are a good idea, but it's important not to restrict a lab to a specific protocol.

BR (Florida):
Just because there is a standard protocol in place, it doesn’t ease requirements for material exchange between States. For e.g., movement of material from CA to Florida, there are some requirements from the USDA that needs to be met, Florida still requires to put it through the program.

GV (CA):
Two phase process: therapy is done in one program and testing in another. If we are able to satisfy the rules of material moving within the network. This is also tied with the interstate movement of germplasm.

- NCPN Protocols will not have a downstream regulatory action, the results will not generate a broader quarantine action, unlike the USDA.

Do we want to focus on that or trying to streamline the introduction process?
Interest from Arizona, CA & Florida in streamlining introduction.
MS (Texas): Whatever harmonization we plan, we need to incorporate State departments of agriculture, so we know what their requirements are before harmonizing the information.
