They are also used to show how the war was like and the way that it affected the world. I think that since I had never been in the position that Marji is in, I would not have as much understanding. It was difficult at some points to comprehend their struggles. I have never experienced the effects of social class. In my culture there may be some type of social class. For example of the upper, middle, and lower class. I think that the way that the people are separated is the same as in the culture in the book. I think that I would fall in the middle class. This is because my family is not wealthy but we are not poor. The social class in my culture is not as much as an impact. We are not classified by the social class we are in.
