While we were doing this we also watched two videos showing us how to use different camera shots and filming shots. We also got taken out of class to try multiple workshops based on what we were going to be doing our podcasts on. The mind map helped me to understand the fundamentals and basics of editing and setting up and using a camera. The editing session we had with corey was helpful as it showed how easy editing really was and the ease of adding effects and raising the volume of a specific scene. This meant we had to fill out things such as a contingency plan, a proposal and health and safety risks. I started to do my proposal and I managed to finish my contingency plan. I then uploaded this to blend space via Dropbox and saved my work. We also finalised our story boards via a digital format. I learnt that pre production is very difficult to do and also takes a lot of time and effort due to the importance of it. Pre production is obviously very important as it is the first step in getting ready to film my tutorial. I am still to ask about the equipment, I can do this by talking to Brendan and arranging to book a camera for filming. Below is an image of my blendspace.

After finishing off my plans, I still need to make contact with Brendan and Work out what equipment i need to be able to film my tutorial, This should be easy enough and as soon i have acquired the equipment i will be ready to begin test shoots for my tutorial. Another thing we did today was to vein learning the skills of filming and recording and also using a green screen to add a background. This lesson was very helpful and fun and helped me to understand the technicality and difficulty of filming. This activity has made want to have an aspect of my tutorial filmed with a green screen so i will have to make contact with jack soon to arrange a booking of the room to film. During the half term i can continue to source locations for my filming and see if i can find a better place to film my outdoor aspects. I decided that i would be using the camera on my phone as it is a very high quality camera that is capable of filming my production. The thing i found difficult about the concept of using my phone was that i was going to have figure out how to keep my phone stable whilst filming, I decided that using my hands to stabilise my phone would be sufficient enough to keep a steady shot. After deciding this i began to do some test shots on my phone. Below is an example of one of my test shots

I learnt a lot of new editing techniques today as i had to fix any issues that may have risen in my filming.
